Let's discuss ways to annoy other players.

Agree with most of them, but…

I’m the “blatantly obvious” doofus who says “don’t go on the beach”. I do it when Oasis has just ended and everyone’s talking - if I think that there are a few noobs on the Axis team - and I STILL always get the same response from one guy with XP < 100 - “Why not?”. DUH!

Then on Goldrush, I’m the doofus who says “F**k the truck, get the gold” to our engineers who INSIST on fixing the truck when we’ve still to claim the gold from the bank. This is usually while I’m at the back way in to the bank, with rifle grenades at the ready to ‘cleanse’ the MG troops inside.

And I’m also the doofus who’s Field Ops on oasis and trying to cover the 2nd tunnel exit from the building opposite, who ‘insists’ on saying “Allies at back entrance” to the 9 teammates jammed round the main way in.

Yese, I DO go out the back door sometimes in Battery, usually with someone else with a reasonable XP count (ie who knows what they’re doing) to mine and arty the Allies, and I realise that it’s a fair tactic, but the number of times I’ve been in Limbo watching some twat open the door to kill that annoying cov ops he can see through the window, and dying almost straight away…

All in all I’m a bit of a doofus…oh well…

surprised i didn’t see this one mentioned (although i might have missed it) – it’s often fun on shrub servers to drag bodies around which need a medic… put them in funny or just plain remote locations so that the medics have to work for them. also, dragging a body backwards while a medic is running after them to heal them is priceless, lol.

one last thing is when you see a covert ops stealing clothes and you’re a covert op as well (only when the shove feature is enabled btw…), push them off of the body holding f for push (or whatever key you have bound to it), it will serve as a 2-step function. you will push them, and steal the uniform. as they have already gotten it half way stolen, you have little work to do, heh

 Love that dancing banana…
The individual battle between Axis covop and a couple of allied engineer
and usually a few soldiers on who can destroy or rebuild the command post in the gold rush map the most times .Hello the gold needs to collected from our deposit account…Today !!! :banghead: [/img]

(rgoer) #84

On battery when the allies are acting particularly stupid (and I’m feeling particularly mean), I play as allied field ops–here’s my trick: I aim the airstrike canister so that it hits the rocks up above the ramp, but bounces back down to the beach and TKs all the allied dumbasses. Even after the fifth or sixth time, they still think it’s an accident, and I hardly ever get complaints. Dumbasses. :moo:

Wounding teammates with the pistol to get ammo/health packs.

Mates going to capture depot yard when you have to defend the gun controls.

Door blockers (Shove them out -Thx ETPro!!!-)

“I’m better than everyone else, my team sux” players.

Medics that first shoot then revive. (i use to first revive mates, then shoot)

Medics that first shoot then go for their way. (rifle them all)

People that doesn’t use the compass or the G map + Fireteam modes.

Axis Field Ops on beach.
Axis mortars on beach.

Bye Bye people.

(Mc Gwain) #86

I left IPD server for this, they are childrens.
they use to force all players to do xp shuffle on railgun and then they all go on defence (allies) then when the map is over they come back to axis.

NEVER GO ON IPD SERVERS.

bye.

  1. Invite ppl on fireteams
  2. select all Fireteam mates (default key is keypad 0)
  3. Watch G-map

Fastest way to deal with him is to kick him btw

He would have to accept the invite for this to work, wouldn’t he? He seems savvy enough to look down so speccing won’t reveal his position, so I doubt he would be dumb enough to join your FT.

in fact i said the fastest thing to do is kick him

cheers

  1. As defending engie, you make it back to the gun controls/fuel dump/anti-tank guns with your trusty do-all pliers at the ready with just enough time left to defuse the dynomite. You find that the dynomite is in a corner and your non-engie teammate is standing in that corner trying to defuse the dynomite by shooting at it. He can’t see your behind him, so you have to put away your pliers, pull out a gun, kill him, re-equip your pliers and start defusing and just before it’s defused, the dynomite explodes, taking you with the objective. Your team loses, and your teammate invariably calls you names/files complaint for tking him. I have an idea. If your not engie (and therefore can’t defuse) then don’t block the only approach to the dynomite.

  2. People who go afk for entire matches rather than disconnect or go spec. You fight your way to the objective, heroicly killing all the opponents guarding the objective but unfortunately you step on a mine and your taken out. Mysteriously none of your teammates are behind you, the counter is at 20 seconds. You wait and wait, and no one comes by so you tap out and respawn only to discover that 3 of your teammates decided to stay in the spawn room staring at the wall. Oddly enough, i see this happen most often on servers that force balanced teams. If you wanna be afk, why don’t you just join spectators.

  3. You go prone with the mobile mg with a good line of sight to any oncoming nme and your teammate decides he wants to get some of the action by standing motionless right in front of you while he shoots at the nme. Naturally, you can’t shoot without killing him. But what’s even worse is when he dies from enemy fire and his body lands on your face and you can’t see anything at all.

  4. Teammates who shoot you in the back because they want to ride in the tank.

• i[/i] On Goldrush, keep fixing the tank after the bank door is destroyed, so the axis have a tank right at their spawn point

• Kill your teammate after he killed a disguised enemy, call kim a TK and vote to kick him. Happened to me

• Don’t run if you can slow everyone behind you

• Call for a medic/ammo and run away

• Press the jump key right before a medic is about to revive you

• Spam “Revive me!”. Drives me nuts!!!

(rgoer) #92

Continuing with my theme of missed-on-purpose TKing airstrikes, on Radar (as either axis or allied field ops) you can throw the canister from “your” side of the “main entrance”–but aim it so it hits the wall and falls to the ground, still on “your side.” Call v15 “fire in the hole!” to make sure you don’t get any complaints, and then laugh as all your dumbass teammates get TKed. A few “Oops!” vsays don’t hurt, either.

(rgoer) #93

I thought of one that annoys me to death: I absolutely hate it when an axis player picks to be a CovOps on any map besides Battery or Railgun. I mean, come on! CovOps is a class for the offense! When you’ve got a vast, open area for the enemy to traverse, sure–snipers come in handy. But on a map like Goldrush, or shudder Radar (that’s the worst–an axis covert on Rader… for fuck’s sake! There’s just no need!), when you could be doing something useful like playing engie or medic, it just grates on my nerves when you pick CovOps. Argh.

(Miles Teg) #94

Satchel charges are sometimes useful on defence.

Although that’s about it, admittedly.

(Ragnar_40k) #95

Cov Ops on Radar are very useful: they destroy the Command Post and so they prevent Allies from spawning there. When an Engi plants a dyno at the Command Post, there is always a chance that an Allied Engi will spawn at the Command Post before it is destroyed and defuse the dyno or rebuild the Command Post after it is destroyed.

(kotkis) #96

On battery when Axis are fragging the hell out of poor Allies, who however succeed to get a suit for covop from a poor Axis who happened to fly off the cliff, take an engineer and go blow up the Gun Controls. When the game ends and all Axis are shouting “who the fuck opened the backdoor!?”, wait until there’s only about 10 seconds left 'till the mapchange and then proudly say “Thanks <insert here the best player of the Axis> for letting us in, cheers!”. And when the next round is about to start, call a kick vote. I saw this happening once

(WT) #97

I agree w/ Miles and Ragnar … Cov Op on Radar isnt all that bad depending on your mindset. I played Cov OP yesterday as Axis and headed to the Forward bunker roof and dropped my satchel at the door. I went back inside and waited.
There were teammates on the roof who were eventually killed by Allies, at which point I saw and heard the “plopp” on the ground. BAM !! Two dead Engys and a door still intact. When they finally did manage to break through and spawn in that bunker I set my satchel on the East parts and waited. I spent 90% of that entire game lying in wait.
A Cov Op running around trying to gain a uni is not worth as much as a silent assassin knowing where the Allies NEED to go and then using that satchel to blow a guy to bits as he steps on that ramp.

Cov Op is the hardest class to play well since it requires stealth and stealth only, unlike other classes who don’t mind being seen. Did I care that I had only 8 kills at the end of that round ? Nope, my team won … end of story.

(WiGgLeRiCe) #98

when ever the opposing team throws an airstrike, panzers , mortors, ect… not in spawn, complain “You’re spawncamping!” or “Stop Spawncamping” , then call votes or if you’re an admin playing warn the opponent or kick and ban them even if they’re attack no where near the spawn. Usually this happens around Goldrush courtyard ( apparantly on some servers , the entire courtyard is the spawn point), claimable spawn points (team flag spawns) such as depot yard on Railgun, Bunker in Radar, and West Bunker in Battery. The entire fuel depot area too. :banghead: :disgust:

(funkPig) #99

As a CvtOp on defence use lots of smoke where the attackers need to run through.

I agree, most of the time a co is %100 useless on defence except when they are doing what a good CO should be doing like destroying the cp or killing mortars.
