Let's discuss ways to annoy other players.

[ul][li]Spam “I am a covert ops”, even when you don’t have a disguise. And never, never, never spot a single landmine (only with your feet).
[/li][li]Hide (and group) in certain places, so that you won’t meet the enemy, so you won’t get killed. There are enough guys on your team that will complete the objectives! And don’t forget to block the way for other players while waiting for …, mmh what these guys are waiting for? I don’t know.
[/li][*]Wait 2 or 3 secondes at spawn before moving, so that all behind you lose their invulnerablity and get killed by the airstrike/artillery/panzerfaust/mortar (there seems to be always at least one of these).[/ul]

A while ago, playing the mp_beachdemo, I just wanted to have a little extra fun, so playing as a medic I would revive (or tk and then revive) people in the upper bunker but before sticking the needle I put a grenade just in front of them so when they revive and the granade explodes (ff on) they would fly from the upper bunker way down to the beach!! :bump:

Here’s an odd one.

Go onto a server as an admin. Tinker with the game’s settings so that selected players or a whole team suddenly find they are looking at everything upside down and their mouse works the opposite way around to the way it should (affected players are easy to spot because their heads are bent down to their chests and twisted around 180 degrees). When you get tired of this jolly wheeze, tinker with the settings again so that not only are some players looking at everything upside down again, but the screen shakes violently for 30 seconds every so often.

This happened when I was playing on the IPD clan server the other day. An interesting challenge for the co-ordination I agree, but also a sure fire way of knackering up what was had been a good game between evenly matched teams and making most players leave the server.

• Putting mines to stop enemy getting to ur spawn, and also trapping all ur team mates.

• Hurting medics / Field ops when they dont heal/resupply u.

• Using a panzer faust at close range to kill someone, often with teamates next to u.

• Spawn campers who dont realise that the enemy is invinsible for the first few seconds.

• Team tnt defusing.

• Putting all ur teams 10 mines in one spot.

• TKing engineers who accidently step on mines and try to defuse them.

• People who door block. (luckly there is a push button mod)

• Field ops that ask for ammo.

• People who use the vsay commands to broadcast to everyone on the server. (use vsay_team … not vsay …)

• Covert ops that dont use smoke grenades or satchel charges.

• People that run infrunt of covert ops while they r spotting mines.

• Engies that waste their energy blowing up a satchel charge objective, when a covert op is nxt to them.

• Medics and fieldops that put packs infrunt of lying down mg42-ers or snipers so they cant see.

• XP hogging engineers that see u defusing mines next to objective and still take no caution, but run to plant tnt / build and get blown up, as well as hurting u.

• A team full of snipers that dont go engineer when their only engineer leaves.

• Medice that run passed u / fumbel for needel and get killed in process / run to help u with needel out even when enemy is next to u.

• People that seek revenge after u accidently (most of the time) kill / hurt u.

• Collect flags in the ground and press F1 becouse u like racing.

• Hide in blue or red smoke and complain.

• People that do the objectives in the wrong order. e.g. reparing the truck with no gold collected / doors open.

• Using the morter at 90 degres.

• Airstriking a single enemy with temates near.

• Calling artillary / airstrikes where your team-mates have to go to do objective.

• People that r AFK all the time.

• Dodgeing bullets by walking into ur line of fire.

• Walking infrunt of a flamethrower.

• People that dont do objective.

• People that stand up and use portable mg42

• People that try to snipe with fg42

• People that dont fully tk u so u cant complain, but just enough so that when u see an enemy u die instantly.

• Allied enginers on Goldrush that dont do their objective but put mines at the othere axis spawn.

• People that repeadly kill covert ops in disguise.

-Covert ops that kill friendly coverts to get the uniform that they r wearing / collecting.

• People that callvote kick u after u accidently kill them / kill them to revive them and complain.

• People that dont vote, so vote doesnt pass with 9 - 1 votes on a 20 person server.

• People with names like Teammate, Disguised enemy!, or black font names.

Next item, Covert Ops who file at the slightest thing. I realize that when you are in an enemy uniform with only 10 HP left and one of your teammates drops you, it sucks. But don’t be a @$$ and file. Simple fact is, most of the times people are just reacting to the uniform and manage to get a round or two off before they see the big red no sign. In a lot of firefights getting the first shots off can make a huge difference. Now, if the idiot keeps firing at you, ya go for it, file. But always remember, until their crosshairs have been on you for a second you look just like an enemy, and if you are charging an MG in a roughly threatening manner, you are probably going to get to play catch with a few reactionary rounds.

Happened yesterday on Battery
I was on axis (defense). Some of my teammates kept going out the backdoor. So ofcourse enemy coverts came in with their teammates.

Furious battles kept on going and they drove us back to the gun.
In the end an enemy medic, field op and engineer were at the gun (I was wounded but waiting for medic so I was there but couldn’t do anything).

So they shot us all and I thought shit, they’ve defeated us. But the enemy engineer just didn’t plant the dynamite! lol he kept on waiting till we respawned and killed him. This happened THREE times!! lol never seen such a stupid engineer. (One of us was stupid too and kept going out the backdoor so we lost eventually anyway)

I was playing as allies a few weeks ago on the Radar map, and some idiot kept bleeding the people on my team and talking trash the whole game. In case that wasn’t annoying enough, he somehow managed to sneak past the Axis defense and steal the last set of radar parts. He then proudly announces “I have the parts, I am hiding, and I am not going to bring them back” Everyone spent the next 17 minutes looking for him, but he was holed up somewhere good. We never did find him, and even though we probably could/should have won, we ended up losing because of him. :banghead:

I bet ya that he was either under the truck in the garage next to the east radar or on the top section of the command post building I reckon he would have been under the truck though cos thats a common hiding place

I suspect he was hiding somewhere on the far side of the axis base in the grassand moving around every now and then, but the axis players weren’t really keen on letting us just look around back there. I tried to spec him, but all I could see was the ground underneath him and some grass. Regardless, it was horribly obnoxious and annoying.

Be Axis Field Ops on Goldrush and throw airstrikes behind the moving truck so that you TK most players of your team. The best time for this is right after spawn, when all your teammates rush after the truck. And then bitch around when other players complain for it. Don’t forget to call them noobs, because they are running into the smoke.

Rename to “Disguised Enemy” and join a server with alot of level 4 Field Ops. Don’t forget to complain when they kill you (additinally it helps when you lower your health somehow, so that you can get killed faster). And from time to time you should rename to another name and yell “Enemy in disguise” before naming back.

Class by Class Definition of Annoyance:

Cover Ops:
The “Greedy” covert ops who rushes to take the pants off of someone but doesn’t look around to see if the area is clear.

The “I blend in so well” covert Ops who runs into the fray of the enemy with a uniform with his knife and gets in the line of fire. He’s mingling with 3 or 4 of the opposite team and Files a complaint when you TK his ass.

The “I don’t do anything but snipe” covert Ops. The guy who dosesn’t spot landmines, or doesn’t use his satchel charges for anything. Just likes to sit on a hill and snipe away.

The “Greedy2” Covert Ops. There is a firefight between two covert ops on the same team, and the guy who doesnt’ get the kill tries to steal the uniform. I actually had to TK the one guy who did this to me. I’d kill someone and he’d run over and steal the uni from me…

Medic:
The “I’m invincible!” medic. The one who plays for himself and not for his team. He drops med packs at his own feet rather than at the team member who took 15 rounds in his chest.

The “TK Revive” medic. The one that TK’s you while you’re in a firefight and tries to revive you, but gets killed before he gets his needle out. And no, it’s not an accident…

The “I’m Better than everyone” medic. The one that will jump into a 4 vs 1 firefight without reviving the 2 guys on the ground first. Instead, gets killed by the first guy and everyone gets to respawn together…What a happy family!

Engineer:
The “I Don’t Think” Engineer. The one that plants the mines in places where there is NO CHANCE of anyone stepping on them. IE, bushes in Goldrush, in a corner in Oasis, or by the snow hut in Ally spawn in Rail Gun.

The “XP Whore” engineer. The one who difuses team dyno for the points. Or Tk’s you while you’re building a construct so they can get the XP. Is a Flak Jacket that important to you?

The “All the mines are MINE!” engineer. The one who uses all the teams mines and puts them in places that aren’t the most effective. IE, either of the tunnels in Oasis. Had an Eng who put 6 in the water tunnel and 4 in the other tunnel…Great for you! They just needed to go up top to get around it all!

Field Ops:
The “I’m Blind!” Field Ops. The one who you keep V22’n, but they still don’t see the big yellow circle over your head. Standing infront of them isn’t an indication either becasue they still pull out their binocs and call artillary. Hey, there’s ammo crates around…what do you need me for?

The “Battle Sense Depraved” Field Ops. These are the ones who call airstrikes down on the team, or a group of team members because there’s 1 enemy in the fray. 1 enemy vs 4 team mates = Perfect Airstrike time!

General Stupidity:
The “It’s not Fair!” whiner. The one who calls the “Shuffle teams by XP” vote when there’s 2 min left in the round. Or the one that brags and says they’re the best the map before, but once they start to lose call the “Shuffle by XP” vote.

The “Tapper.” The guy who waits till the medic is right overtop of them, then they tap out into limbo, getting the medic killed. Then gripes and complains at the end of the round that “The medics on my team suck!”

The “Loner.” the guy who’s off fighting his own war, racking up the kills, ends the round with 100 kills but they end up losing. Then whines to the team that they “Should have played better as a team,” or says “Where was everyone?”

The “I’m The Best” doofus. The guy who wins matches and at the end says “Too easy” or “You guys suck.” But when he get’s p4wn3d leaves the server in a hissy fit, blaming eveyone else but himself.

The “Blatantly obvious” doofus. The guy who constantly spams saying “Don’t go on the beach!” in battery or “We need to repair the tank!” in Fuel Dump. Well, d’uh! Get off your team chat and get in the game!

The “WTF?” Doofus. The one who yells at the end of the round “Who’s the F’in moron that let them in the back door?” on battery…when the Eng just waltzed in the front door when the team wasn’t paying attention…
