I think most of us here only play ET, so we have no need for third party game finder thingies. I wouldnt use them if i was you, like you said, gamespy is full of spyware.

About the game browser, see I find it handy being able to start all my online games from the same place/interface, also Q2!??, that little address book holds what?, 10-12? but you gotta know them first. Doom 3 is the worst though, the bloody game browser in it doesn’t even work!!, patched or not, nada!. Personally I think it’s pretty shocking but there you go.
Thanx for that url to SplatterWorld (cool name btw) Kamikazee, the first thing I saw on the page was Duke mod for Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory :).

That, nUllSkillZ, is the game browser I was on about further up the posts (or possibly page 1 now?). The setup icon is reminiscent of the masonic symbol, like a single eye set in a light green triangle yes?.
I have a it on CDR somewhere but where? is anyones guess??. Is that still being supported/released?.
If it’s supported by SplatterWorld?, I wonder why they didn’t just stick with the game browser instead of the web based type of setup?. Looking at SplatterWorld it seems like you have to bind or associate your games with it then you can, if you choose cut n paste a svr ip directly into ie et://84.xx.xx.xx:etc. and I think it’ll start the game?.

All Seeing Eye works for nearly all on-line games, and if you keep clicking on try again, it’s free

There’s an option in your profile setup to allow/disallow your email being shown mate.
About a game, are there any smaller maps as 1v1 or even 2v2 on the first default map is no fun.

It wouldn’t have been so bad if I did Higgins!.
Nah, I didn’t get back from Edinburgh till around 20.00z~21.00z and of course I was chomping at the bit to put the new burner in, as you do, but when I tried to run a write test with Nero’s CD/DVD Speed app I could do all the read tests but not the write ones?.
It was asking for an image file to make the data disc with & as I only had the option of an iso or a nrg image, I chose a 2.03Gb linux image but couldn’t get it sussed?.
It’s not a problem as such, it burns discs without any hassle etc, but I wanted to do a write test so I could guage it’s performance against other LG-4167B user’s results.
Btw, I’ve removed all traces of GSpy from my puter & installed the Eye again. I’d forgotten all about having to setup your gamename, which cfg you prefer to use for each game if using customized cfgs etc and all that jazz.

Try to set your maxfps to iirc 43, 76 or 125 whichever your computer can hold the tightest without huge dropoffs.
Those are the magic numbers for the q3 engine which will let you get an extra burst of speed when sprintjumping. Boing boing!!!
No need to DL the HL2 demo.
Take my word on it just go buy the game.
You might want to see if you can just buy CS:S and DoD:S which are the main reason to have the game in the 1st place. They are a tonOfun to play online.
Even though I really like those 2 games alot there is still no game better to date with better team gameplay than RtCW/ET.
ET’s graphics are still really good when you can crank everything up to max and play at 125 fps w/o droping hardly a frame.
Dont listen to him…HL2 is crap! I got it with my PC and sold it on eBay a week later…BORING!!!
I got HL2 free with my 9800 XT years ago. Its so crap they’re givin it away!
