Thanks mOnsta. The last part on the video was just to make something interesing, not really part of the map. For a next version i will love to use real voices, but firstly i need to do lines that worth using someones time and effort.

Scrupus, this greenplace is really cool. Its a good reason to have the crater closed by glass.

About GDF camp on strogg spawn, i can close the exit with strogg shield so they got protected until they emerge on the botton of the crater.

Alpha 2 was released, i believe it will be on the Nirvana server anytime soon or until sunday.

Those are the changes:

  • Added Deploy spots.
  • Added viper attack.
  • Fixed “locstring out of range” disconnection (proper server test is needed).
  • Added force shield on strogg first spawn.

I believe its everything ok for some nice matches!

Here is the GDF base. Sallom was changed to GDF Comm Center.

At now, Comm Center is just a fake building, but i can do a interior for it if needed:

Whatever you do will be awesome! Just try to make the map compact and avoid andes-like maze corridors :slight_smile:
Coz you already started to put such corridors into 1st objective :wink:

I’m just worried about these ramps, on the outside they appear to be 45 degree which is bit too steep if ask me.

A gradient of 2:1 works better, __| rather than _|

HOHO, Chris! You have gooda eyes! They are indeed, 45 degree stairs.

I still not added the cover for the ramp + 2 stairs…

A 2:1 aspect ratio stair will be more than 2 times longer what we have now, since the terrain also have a slope in the same direction of the stair. Do you think its a good deal? I will make a test and post some shots.

Here a shot of the yard inside GDF Comm Center (old GDF shag house).

The trees are now covered with glass redomes (green areas). This will help to make fight on this ambient more interesting:

The main change is the adition of one more objective.

Hope Scrupus ready this and hope he have still time to put it on the Nirvana server for today matchs.

i really like that building.

but i dont like the progress you made with those glass house thingis.

this looks really awsome. i would stick to this.

i dont know, the glass houses just dont fit. i would also remove the palm trees and stick to the others.

First of all you only have 8 icaruses and no other means of getting out of the spawn, if some **** kept throwing nades at them for lolz then the strogg are pretty screwed till that idiot is kicked from the server.

Make the icaruses instantly respawn and add another way out of the spawn, perhaps jump pads.

8 icaruses trying to get through here in one go isn’t going to happen, perhaps two exits this size side by side off centre from where this existing exit is.

We now get out of the spawn area and we are now facing the wrong way from the objective, turn the spawn 180 degrees so when we fly out we are facing the objective. Hog is pretty far away, there is no use for it.

Again I’m not sure what this is for, areas like this I think are best to semi seal off and have some objects behind some fencing or so.

You need more than one way to get to the spawn, its bit cruel that you walk up some stairs see the spawn but then have to walk all way around to get to it.

These stairs are too big, its pretty annoying to have to jump up these when you spawn near the capture spawn.

These stairs aren’t clipped so you don’t move up smoothly.

You made probably the best capture point objective in ET:QW with andes, this is like the opposite, it’s in an enclosed space that I feel isn’t the best way to go.

crouching at top of one of the ramps as strogg mean gdf ain’t got much of a chance to recover, need to put this ramp on the other side of the building and add more cover between the spawn and the building.

Another step that is too big to walk up, having to jump all the time can be bit annoying.

Not sure the reasoning for this big hole here, it just slows down the attack forcing them to go around making them easy pickings for the defense who are camped up at the top area behind the hack.

Need some more road vehicles, make the huskies spawn more frequently and perhaps add a armadillo with regular spawn times.

Just to illustrate lack of cover and how easy it is for strogg to blend into the dark area inside the building.

Defense has this nice camping spot to shoot the objective area whilst strogg cant shoot it clear from their side.

When i first spawned here and saw that I had to walk all the way up the hill to the place I just spawned the previous objective I was pretty mad.

And when you get up there it’s just an empty room, needs more stuff inside so can defend it.
