reading up it says cycle stops at the 3rd map. his 3rd map is probably saberpeak.

my bug report: +weapalt was changed to weapalt and now it cant be use to go to the previous player.

weapalt-previous-player is an etpro-specific feature. it does not exist in etmain. and weapalt did not change from 2.56 to 2.60.

My ping doubled in afew of the server i used to go to… since the patch… fine some doubled in others dont get it. not that really care but.

linux installation problem with slackware:

when trying to install 2.60 as root i get “Please select atleast one option”. And there are no options to select!

I was able to solve this by chown:ing my et folder to my user and then doing the install with the user account, but this approach is very ugly!

Cant pinpoint the cause of this error, but you should atleast have a look at it…

Not sure but I have noticed 3 things on our server after updating

1( as said before pings exponentially increased

2( pb does not seem to like the new patch, I get tons of complaints about it uber kicking people for stupid things guid and such that never happened before, and yes I have my pb config all set up properly

3( a large number of clients getting acking disconnected download mode.

I’m on a Macintosh running OS X 10.4.1. Since yesterday, after upgrading Quicktime to 7.0.1, I can’t hear sounds from Wolfenstein ET anymore. I hope someone can solve this problem.

1)i was an allied flamer a axis guy layed on a dead allie and i tried to flame him and he took no damage
2)i stood on an allie body shot a panzer up in the air and killed myself?
3)some times i fall to my death and have full heath when i know the fall wasnt enough to kill me foe example i fell from the top of the stairs in the beach spawn to get on lower mg (map was battery) and it said i fell to my death. ??

I often had problems with joining a server because of th cdkey wasnt reaching autogiudth server (or something like this, dont know what that means)

so i always had to use a new cdkey

what can i do against that?

I get this weird message after installing 2.60patch, etpro 3.20 and newest version of PB.
Now my ping is sky high and this message is appearing like 100 times per second.
Cant figure out what it means

messages appears in console: Net_sendpacket:WSEADDRnotavail

can someone help me with this problem?!
I did update my videodriver (Nvida Gefore Ti4200SE)

vr 2.6 isnt saven me and my friends profiles for some reson… we have tryed reinstalling and deleteing it all but it still didnt save.
so now we go into games and it asks us to turn back on PB.
then we get kicked out, from invd name… witch it sets to ETPlayer. or something as so.

also we offten have to Renew are Keys.

Any clues?

I’m running Ubuntu Hoary and 2.55 and 2.56 run flawlessly. While playing in 2.6, when I hit ~ in-game, I lose control over the et window. It only hapens after playing for a while. I can then scroll around my screen (my desktop is 1024x768 while my et is 800x600, so i can scroll the screen and see the parts that et doesn’t cover up). I can’t return the focus to et, i’m left having to kill et and start over. This is debilitating and happens often, out of habit i press it to communicate globally. I also use it for configuring my client. I’m not sure why this happens, anyone have an idea?

The main problem I’ve had is that occasionally my character set gets messed up ingame. For example, I’ll try to enter a console command but the ‘/’ shows up as an accented ‘e’ and I have similar problems with other keys as well. Kind of annoying since you can’t use most of the console commands.

FYI:
I have a US layout keyboard.
Also, I have some pretty bad hops on my isp’s network so I don’t know if excessive lag could have something to do with this.

I have a bug. Can’t remember if it was also in the old version.

When I have 4 stars in light weapons and Akimbo pistols and I loose connection, when I return to the game I still have my XP and my 4 stars, but Akimbo’s are gone.

Another one is when having 4 stars as Panzer Soldier and you get the SMG, if you then change class and later returns to Panzer Soldier class, you don’t have the SMG anymore. Quite annoying.

Also I have noticed that the PING’s went up on Servers and also I get this annoying LAG. It last for 2 secs where I can’t move and then I can move again (Mostly not because I have been killed while standing still). It happens several times when playing. I tried to start a server on my computer and everything worked fine. But there were no other players than me, so perhaps I can’t really compare.

I have tried without the 2.60 patch and everything is working fine there. No sudden lags.

I have also checked to see if other programs is working on the internet while playing, but can’t find any.

Also my FPS have gone way down. I have tried every tweak I can, but still low FPS. And I don’t have a slow computer. Can play Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 with full graphics and 1280x1024.

I have talked to many of my fellow ET players and they have all noticed this FPS performance issue after Patch 2.60 and the sudden LAG problem.

What have happened with the FPS?

And could there be something wrong with the servers I play on regarding the sudden LAG problem?

Otherwise I would just say Keep up the good work and looking forward to Quake Wars.

Update to my last post.

This isn’t the same bug as the one mentioned in the forums where your menus change to a different language. All my menus and messages etc are still in english.

I don’t know if the old demo formats are compatible with et 2.6. If they aren’t then that could be why.

They are compatible. ET 2.6 will look for both dm_83 and dm_84, and play back either.

Problems playing back are usually caused by having mixed etpro versions in your install, or simply having too much downloaded junk in your et install.

I Second that, as it is the same on my server. However I think maybe its becase the download is too long.

“acking” means acknowledging. This is normal when you use disconnected downloads. Iit is not an error.
