So I set my server to sv_pure 0
So technically this should’ve stopped, but it hasn’t.
Any tips on how to stop it? Thanks alot…
Setting pure 0 on anything but a test server is a pretty bad idea.
It’s not clear what you want to stop. If you don’t like ‘acking disconnected download’ then dont use disconnected downloads. You can do this by setting
sv_wwwDlDisconnected = 1
If you don’t want to allow www redirect downloads (disconnected or not) use
sv_wwwDownload = 1
If you don’t want downloads of any kind, use
sv_allowDownload 0
If you want optional content that people are allowed to have, but aren’t forced to download, it gets a little more complicated.
Well I changed that back to regular.
Well, that’s exactly what i was looking for. But if you say it gets complicated, I guess I’ll just add the download to the site and let them download it from there.

If you want skin or sound packs to be optional, make sure you put them in etmain (not in the mod directory if you are running a mod such as etpro or etpub). Assuming the packs for your optional stuff doesn’t contain anything actually used by the server, clients shouldn’t be forced to download them. Also, if your clients turn off downloads, they can avoid being forced to download optional stuff. Of course, if they don’t have the actual map your server is running, then they have to enable downloads or get it somewhere else.
This does not seem to be engine related, but is handled from the game code. (Which is ETPro in this case)
Therefore you need to post this bug over at the ETPro forums.
