it was fixed properly. engine no longer crashes clients on oversize strings and 2.60 qagame no longer sends oversized strings.

Could this code in the newly released sdk then be considered obsolete?

that was deliberately added as a debugging measure, to help modders track down the source of oversize command overflows in their mods. otherwise your oversize commands are silently truncated, which your mod’s cgame might interpret badly.

you can easily put a breakpoint there. not so easy for modders to breakpoint inside the engine.

that code isn’t needed for 2.60 etmain, but modders who haven’t fixed the bugs in their own mods might find it useful.

Erm, quite a funny one, a bit like the one where if someone spots mines, another member of the team can get covert points…
Just now, I was spectator and someone got fried by my flamethower :o
There was no-one fake-nicking.
This was however on a shrub server with the 2.60 patch, so read into it what you will.

Hmmm, not sure if this has been addressed in ET at all as of yet…
When you choose to turn off your complaint pop-ups, it’s still possible for you to complain against a team mate.
It’s when a teammate tk’s you and the normal popup would appear coinciding with someone inviting you to a fireteam.
You respond to join the fireteam, and nothing happens… however, you’ve just filed a complaint against your teammate for a simple tk-revive :S :expressionless: :confused:

Let’s say on Fueldump the Allies have built the first stage of the bridge. I can plant dyno but if the Allies build the second stage of the bridge before the dyno explodes it makes my dyno disappear.

Also, I ‘m not exactly sure how to state it but clients being disconnected from a server due to “server command overflow” has gone through the ever-lovin’ roof.

That’s how it has always worked. When disabling popups, you’re only disabling the popup appearing on screen. By hitting your “vote yes” key you can still file one.

and the voting system is constructed in such a way that clients can only vote on one thing.

Ok, fair enough, but it is still very misleading to the player and it should reflect what is on the screen as to what you vote on.
If you have the complaint pop up to off… it should ignore that vote entirely and not file against a player. If you still want the option for it, then maybe a much smaller little icon in the top right of the screen should be shown, but it should definately not override the vote for entering a fire team, that’s completely misleading and shouldn’t happen.

Game has become unresponsive to keyboard… Like i have to press the button alot of times to get the command to work, like vsay stuff for example… and when i press w to move up it either doesnt move, moves too far, or moves to short for how long i hold it down… and its same way with all other things, didn’t happen in other patch and not keyboard cuz i switched to 3 diff boards… and new comp too O.o help pl0z :angry:

ive have 1 mayer problem, when i have installed the patch 2.6, and then try 2 look for surfers all the pings of the surfers are above 200. ive checked all my settings and everythings is oke, i even checked pb. at the old patch every1 thing worked just fine.

i want 2 play the new patch because all my favorite surfers are 2.6

does any1 know my bug.

you need to update your video drivers, go to video card manufacturer’s site and get latest drivers, windows update will not work, it borks OpenGl
