Demos!

(duke'ku) #41

I guess battlefield sense doesn’t come with the ability to land one shot out of an entire thompson clip, as seen at 27:16?

(ToeD) #42

nice signature duke ku

Yes, I saw the chat bind fake cvars at the end of the map. I never mentioned them in this forum because (tada!) it was obvious what they were. Don’t try to put words in my mouth. It’s childish.

(I R O N M A N) #44

But you missed the 7 kills I made in a brief demo, 3 of which were shoot-outs with a single player at about 20 yards facing each other. Looks like those 3 got owned huh?

In that demo, I died 9 times and made 7 kills. Not bad. Especially when most of your team is collecting at the depot yard instead of capturing the spawn and doing other things to keep the enemy back because they have no battlefield sence and you are taking up their slack.

I was a little dissapointed though. I usually kill a lot more than I get killed. Frequently i’m the highest fragger in a map. But then, we all have our off days. sigh

Your comment is just childish insults without substance. Move along now young man.

(duke'ku) #45

Those kills were nothing special, after noting your style of play in that demo it’s quite obvious that you’re fairly new to FPSes in general.

(Sauron|EFG) #46

Someone who captures the spawn has given thier team valuable time to recover from a fire fight, to complete and objective, to create a defensive line or gather together for an attack.

I wasn’t arguing against capturing the flag, but if you watch the demo you can see some axis players standing at the first tug which is right next to the depot yard. Instead of trying to kill them and stop them from riding the tug you run away, and that’s what I was commenting. Not meant as an insult, but it looks funny to me.

I’m still laughing btw, maybe I’ll post something construtive tomorrow when my ribs have stopped aching.

As for being new to FPS’s… hardly. I think I mentioned once already that I was for 3 yrs. straight one of the top 5 or so Quake2 CTF players in the world… out of tens of thousands. In case you didn’t know, Quake2 CTF was the most popular multiplayer game in the world for those 3 yrs as well. I doubt that I’m one of the very best at Wolf ET. But then, the game has been out for less than 2 months, I’ve been playing it for 1 week, and I don’t play it for highest frags like everyone did for Q2. It’s a very differnt kind of game, ya know.

Those of you who want to make childish insults, be my guest. However, this topic is about demos. I made a mistake, and I admited it. Put your childish insults away long enough to stay on topic eh?

Perhaps those of you who have been posting childish insults you are such a great players yourself (since you can so easily criticize someone who was playing well) that you would like to have a little 1 on 1 frag fest with SMG’s only to prove that you are capable of not seeing every enemy within range during a heavy fight, not killing everyone you see, and not getting killed. Damn, you must be incredible! Unfeakingbelievable actually.

This topic was about demos, but if you want to post a demo of yourself playing, let’s see it. Maybe you can show us how superior a player you supposedly are. If you do, do it playing with SMG’s so we can see that you have perfect aim and don’t need a splash weapon to whack people with the uncanny skill you imply that you posess.

(duke'ku) #51

My point is that you’re acting like some kind of authority on the subject of cheating and FPSes in general - but you’re just another noob who got owned.

(Majikthise) #52

Consiering sprinting and ducking while shooting wasn’t neccessary in the Quake games, than I guess I do believe you played those a lot. But just so you know, those elements are VERY much needed in RtCW/ET, which you -never- did.

(DG) #53

(I R O N M A N) #54

Authority? No, I have not been acting like that. However, read above post I’ve seen more autoaim players that you probably ever knew existed, and beat the pants off of them, and still achieved what is posted above, so I guess you could say that’s true. Playing constantly against autoaim infested servers for 3 years gives you a lot of experience at knowing what autoaim does in a game. Quake2 BTW, was the most autoaim infested game of all time as of this writing, at least 10 times as much as any game since or before it at the peak.

As for the “noob” thing, no. Owned in that demo? Um, no. 9 deaths and 7 kills while taking up slack for a crummy “let’s all run to the same spot and die again” team is good. “Owned” would be like… 14 deaths and 3 kills maybe. Something like that sounds about right. :suspicious:

(I R O N M A N) #55

Sprinting is not possible in Quake2 unless the player is hacked or bot’d.

Ducking was used all the time for Quake2, myself included. Far more useful in Q2 than these games, because you could duck almost instantaneously.

Ducking is not terribly important in RTCW or Wolf ET. Useful yes. Nescessary to play well? Not at all. Look at the demo again. Did you see anyone ducking? Nope. Not one of them that were in my field of vision ducked. Hmm.

(DrGratis) #56

So you have seen autoaimers in other games, fine.

Are you back to claiming you seem them constantly in W:ET?
'cause I though you let that go in the other thread?

(I R O N M A N) #57

Back to?

I claim nothing. I stated a fact. Autoaim is in the games, and I see it frequently. I did not say constantly. I did not say every map or every game. I never said that. Get your facts right. I said that I see an autoaimer or two in every 3 or 4 servers I join. That is what I said.

Trying to put words in my mouth gets you nowhere.

(Wraith2k3) #58

You said in your other thread that you had demos of people cheating. Perhaps you’d like to show us THOSE demos?

btw, thinking that panzer guy was cheating? You’re quite obviously paranoid beyond belief.

(Majin) #59

This is better than TV.

And just so everyone knows, he never actually admited anything.

However, I admit that I was wrong in this case because I discovered that the panzer fires faster than in RTCW.

Well, it doesn’t fire any different, so…

and then…

Trying to put words in my mouth gets you nowhere.[/quote]

Uh, asking you a question is putting words in your mouth? God you are dumb…

(I R O N M A N) #60

I did not say I had demos of people cheating in Wolf ET.

The mistake with the panzer was an error that I lived up to.

I am not paranoid. I am experienced at gaming.

Trying to put words in my mouth will get you nowhere.
