THAT is the game i pre ordered. >.<

Look at the bot’s texture.Now it looks like something something from HL1.
Also the characters are way more detailed as in the game now.

Less ambient lighting + OSA + bloom = why you tards think the graphics are so much better. At least for PC. I haven’t seen any evidence of poor graphics from console screenshots.

Guys the graphics, is the same… If u want “awesome and clear” graphic form previews jus lower your gamma and brightness playing container city and you will see it is the same… Ofc use all details to high, and ambient occlusion too. Take a screen and you will see… It is just sad to read all of this comments, written by people who doesn’t even knows what the f**k is graphic engine…

I’ll put 2 screen shots from the pc version, all high, all on, and full hd resolution. To do “magic effect” i just played with gamma and brightness.

They really have to fix this quick if possible. I mean, what’s the point of having supercool customized characters?
People want to see them in their full glory!

This and the horrible aliasing / texture pop-in issues.

There is much more possible on the 360, graphical wise. Brink is just not optimized very well.

You overflowed the sunshine (look at that, it’s almost just a yellow blob). The dock is completely lit and shows no traces of any shadows. In fact, even the gun you’re holding is brightly lit even at the back, despite the fact the light is coming from the front.


There’s more different then there’s the same, really.

W8 i am fixing it via cfg, i used to diable shadows, glow and so on, i ll enable it now and repost the image…

the lightning and everything is just so much better in 09 gameplay except textures.

Also in the release version the is NO DIFFERENCE between Medium shadows and High shadows or am i just to stupid to see it?

I forgot the enable shadows and HBAO or how it’s called in the old ones.
It’s definetly better with shadows on but still not the brink i pre ordered.

I also took a screenshot of the gate’s explosion.Looks so ****ty compared to the old explosion.

Everytime I see the 2009 videos, it makes me really sad and not want to play the game anymore until SD makes a graphical update.

Ok i did it. First of all this is PC version, all setted to max, fullhd, and finally with shadows and postproccess. They have changed the lighting of the maps, probably because they were too darky(in the beta Container City was almost played in the night, now it is sunset or something like that…)

The graphic looks great imo, the textures are awesome and shadows are all in place and realistic.

This one to proove that textures are just ok and good…

HDR and normal mapping are just some of the most beautifull i ever seen in a game…

This screen looks to me better than one from the 2009 beta…

See all images and tell me what do you think. Imo the quality is just the same that it was in 2009, the difference is that the just changed the lighting of both maps…

Pretty sad that this game is still not playable with these settings for much people.

Hopefully the patch comes today fingerscrossed.

Would love to get a smooth experience with everything maxed out. <3

Not only the lighting, but there was a big difference in the effects. There was more physics going on, and the explosions were bigger with all the smoke and debris. The game also seem to run smoother, and the SMART system looked more fluid. The current brink still looks nice…but not what we saw in 2009 :\

Yeah,pretty sure i saw ragdoll effects in the CC gameplay.The explosions were also bigger yep.

The grenade explosion animation atm is just a complete joke.It’s like a china cracker. :smiley:

I don’t know they look pretty similar.
I only see that the Aliasing is better in the 09 screen but everything else is pretty much the same yeah.
Textures on the ground look better on the 2011 screen.

I also kinda liked this blur effect on the gun in the 09 screen.It’s kinda realistic (not that Brink would be realistic in ANY way ^^) cause you dont got your eyes focused all the times on the gun.
