As I think releasing a “test” demo to the public is a great way of finding bugs and seeing how the game gets played then tweaking it before the final release.
I think the demos of RTCW & ET made their final versions better.

i wonder how many changes you could actually make in 3-5 weeks?
Anyway hopefully they do, lots of peeps gagging at the bit for it.
I hope it is released when im in work so i can have a ‘family emergency’ and run home to play it lol
might be just you getting a heart attack on the way - at least it wouldn’t be a lie then
That was asked before, and most of us agreed that everybody who registered on this forum at 2003 or earlier and is considered to be a ‘nice’ person should get an invitation, now we are looking for a way to convince the SD guys to go along with our idea
By the way, have I mentioned that I think that Wils is an extremely nice guy? And I sooo like Bongoboys sense of humor, and Locki, now that’s a smart guy, I guess he will immediately see how much sense our proposal makes! :moo:
(aaarrrmmm, that wasnt too officious now, righ guys?)
who would be more able to find bugs and judge the balance if not us veterans - I definitely agree to senator!
oh and everybody who ever postet in the mapping and modding forums as well should be considered a priviliged, high valued user and pay half for the final game, even less when the name starts with an M (I can come up with lots of reasons for this if necessary)!
Yeah, I think that a ET:QW test release would be great, first because - let’s be honest dudes - people awaits this game with attention & the fact that we’ve seen the vids from E3, I think, makes some of us (if not all of us) crazy. Second point, devs need feedbacks from gamers (help in finding bugs, gameplay elements that should be adjusted, etc…).
LOL - so if we take me as the cut-off point thats 701 eligible people

some weeks before the final release of the game
i guess @ quakecon or shortly after it
that’s why you’re completely irrelevant - therefor this posting will be ignored
@wils: could we veterans get some own forum? - far away from all the noobs (this is register date 2004 to now), with special rights and support where we can talk about all the important veteran things? that’d be actually overdue
Well i wont argue with ur as ur snig warns me from arguing with people of ur type!
a demo would be awesome. i hate the foogging summer hole. absolutely nothing to buy. i’m going out now and buy shadow of the colossus for the ps2. and it costs 60 euro, a game for a very much outdated console. i’d get an xbox360 game for that money, but the 360 games are crap alltogether …
if only SD would release the quake wars demo soon enough … i think i would be satisfied the whole summer with it

dammit, that means I was too slow by joining 2 months later
tbh I must have been too busy playing the game when it 1st came out to bother registering, surely that dedication deserves something . . .
Hmmm, 1800 serious gamers at QuakeCon, should be able to get some feedback from them
