Actually I may be wrong. As long as RU is allowed to play on Nexon client then the cross region play is at least promised there.

IMHO - Current maps were designed for a specific speed and a result of slowing the game speed for 30% without map tweaks is simple –misbalance. I’m not quite sure yet, but it seems the game became much harder for attacking team.

As Quake players they installed a UT-like kill streak voice signals – “double kill”, “triple kill” and etc. After all, what did you expected from them? They creating game based on their vision, it’s obvious that BF player will try to make a game close to BF, CS player close to CS and etc. So the game is moving to a QL right now. I will not wonder if they insert rocket jumps with next patch.

The question is - would you like to play a game like this?

For me answer is very simple.

I understand it this way: All ppl in the Regions of Nexon can play the Nexon Extraction, all outside, cant.

two main quaestions:

  1. are DD allowed to change significant gameplay properties (like speed and weapon spread) without authorization from SD?
  2. If so - then are players from Russia, Belarus and Ukraine - allowed to play Nexon version without some sophisticated internet stuff (i dont know **** about VPN )?

I talked to Cooller today, and he answered most of our questions, so I have to thank him for that. I must say I don’t agree with Cooller position, but he has his vision….and we need a post from SD to finish this thread, because I don’t want to speculate.

What is his vision anyway? I’m a bit curious. I just think it’s funny that a lot of players were always saying “pro players know best” and then Destiny seems to be giving pro players greater influence and they all have different feelings towards what makes a “good game” haha. Makes me happy that SD does things differently.

Maybe not from the creative side of things, but if D|S- had their hand in XT the way Cooller has it in DB, I can guarantee the core mechanics and fluidity would be 10x better. We would’t even need to touch the speed of the game to achieve that. The spawn system would also be palatable. We’ve just come to the conclusion that we said everything that we needed to say and we need to give SD time to do what they feel needs to be done with their product.

I’m sure you’d get there in the end, just like I believe we will, but it wouldn’t be done already. You’d get bogged down in the same day-to-day practicalities and scheduling issues of game development that we and the majority of other studios do :slight_smile:

I don’t know the size of your team or your day to day practicalities. What I do know or better yet, what I feel, is that the core mechanics should already be completed or strongly established before going CBT. What I, and many others fear is that the core mechanics are established and we’re not liking what we’re seeing. I’m not sure how limited SD is on giving out information but a timeline would really clear up a lot of conspiracycrafting that goes on day to day. If you are afraid you won’t meet the deadlines set, you can always change them and players will have to deal with it but at least we will know its being worked on and when it’s projected to hit production.

I really hope you have a major patch before CBT, if not, we’re about to see 100 more threads with the same valid complaints that have been made during CAT. We still can’t accurately test weapons because the sounds are all off and the feedback in general is not where it needs to be. I would like to say we can’t accurately test maps either until the spawn system is fixed/modified. Is the current spawn system final? If not, when is it getting changed? If so, when are the maps going to be fixed? These are things that I feel should be sound before going CBT so the quality of feedback is greater and not rehashed posts from 2012.

Anti - Don’t take this the wrong way either. I’m still on board, it’s just hard to conduct his Welcome wagon without SD placing the necessary tracks. <3
