Who wants Market Garden for Enemy Territory?
Oh yeah! Some things would need to change in it though just to make it stand out from the original. Perhaps axis engineers need to construct the big bridge? All current mounted guns need to be constructed. A nice one would be a water pump for allied construction to drain the canal… no more sneaky axis! Oh and one more thing… make sewers accessable by a destructable gate. Whoever blows it with dyno secures the forward spawn for their team! Either that will fix the whole “Don’t get the friggin flag!” argument, or simply displace it to the sewer gate… “Let them plant the dyno!”, “I will disarm any dyno planted at sewer by teammates!”, “<playername> is a tker! Kick him!”, “I tk’d him because he was disarming my plant!”! Well, it would be a nice change of pace anyway!
Hey Coolhand, I was kind of curious what happened to all the ex GD’ers myself.
anyway, I would make the flag a command post, and put one of those cool “sneaky doors” at the back enterance of each obj. Maybe move the spawns a little too.
Finaly a map that would give my mortar something to do 
Command center in one of the shelled house, maybe a mg nest to cover the sewer.
No doubt - MG was/is a classic dual objective map; ET needs one of those IMHO.
ET needs ANY duel objective map. I usually play Allies, so I have lots of time to think about this while I’m sitting in the spawn waiting for the artillery fire to stop
oh lord DG, let me assure you that I’ve wasted far too much of my life on Jolt. All I meant was it doesn’t seem that many have been playing ET.

Fat boost, many of the old “Dream Team” found a new home on jolt when GD shut its doors to us. DG’s given you the pointers ^^^
Of course, the advent of ET means that the Bridge and Mansion are less well defended than they have been for the past year or so. Hence the reason for this poll

Seriously, the only thing stopping me from converting our server into ET is the lack of a good “dual objective” map; as these tend to make for the best games. Both teams must actively attack and defend, which makes for some rather great team play.
Fireteams? Easy. Alpha is offense, Bravo is Defence. =)

have to admit that i’m not too interested in cloning market garden (more or less) but you could assemble a new map with some parts of it, i simply love the bridge…

/me all so one of the die hard marketgarden regs and really hope ET will do MG…really can be interesting to set up own fire teams on a 50/50 slot server…6x4 teams…means 1 player will walk alone( :bump: the lone wolf)…cant wait to get there :notworthy:
I suppose it would benefit from a little reworking to exploit some of the features of ET, but I would love to see MG or a sequel make an appearence. I’ve always prefered dual-objective maps and MG was one of the best ever created for RtCW.
Let’s not forget that some of the map dynamics would have to change due to the advent of mortars, mobile MG42s, covertOps stealing everyone’s pants, and, or course, mines. So its not just a matter of recompiling the map - it will take alot of work to do it right; and I know that SD will not do it if they aren’t doing it right.
I would ask people what features they would like to add/remove from the map in this respect. Ignoring all of the features of ET, the one thing I would like would to be able to get into that damned bell tower beside the river!

what ever chance u wanna make…dont chance the flag…do not get rid of it.the flag is THE most important thing there is on marketgarden.

Blimey that would take some engineer work, maybe 2 or 3 engineers would be needed to construct the bridge in under a minute. I like the idea of marketgarden for ET and think it should happen.
Would be good to be able to get inside the mansion itself. There are many routes to the water tower on the bridge, but the mansion has only two easily-defended choke points: how about being able to get through the broken wall by the mansion?
yea,very good point u’ve got there coolhand.i was thinking about setting up these ammo and medpacks refresh rooms close to ACC and BRIDGE because u dont have to yell for ammo everytime u spawn. :banghead:
including a (driving) tank/truck isnt a good idea i think
maybe a thought to bring up a new objective to the map:steal docs from allied command center(if u could enter it)and bring them to a near second radio room (like beach) which is build somewhere near the allied command center.(with other words…expand the map),and maybe more entrances to the sewers? :eek2:
Oh, I don’t know. How about a tank on some circular route near the bridge that people could use to patrol in?
I like the idea of ammo / health dumps at ACC and bridge. Would have to be well defended to stop the enemy taking advantage of them for their final assault (perhaps these dumps could be behind locked doors - would also give the covert ops guys something to do?)
the tank and truck are only there to acompany,not to drive it by anyone although its fun , but then again on the other hand …wouldnt that be too much look-a-like BF1942?in my opinion ET is allready that close look-a-like BF1942 that it couldnt get closer :bump: 
i wouldnt lock the ammo/medpack room,i think that it would be the reward for any offense player (especially for the sneaky engineers)to refill health and ammo bars be4 proceding to plant
and therefor surely one to watch over. :drink:
