I think everyone who cares about the UBC topic already made up their minds. Nothing new will come from this discussion.

The main problem here is like I said, that some people tryed to speak about how they have been banned for no reason and your entire clan just talk low to them, the dottie case is pretty obvious, I remember the guy who has allways been a fair player, McNite just clearly abused him. As sais back in the days some of my admins got power hungry and did some ****ty ban against good players, I for one was often frustrated playing (especially with my ping on NA servers) and getting owned because yeah I was a noob (I’m still one but at least I can shoot some people down from time to time) but I think I never banned one guy from my server, EVER (Except indeed for the coleader in question who was accused of cheating, and I did defend him in the first place untill the video showed him hacking, and then he got banned), and I speak from a perspective of leading 2 of the most populated servers at ETQW for one year and a half iirc,4 years of admining a popular SoF2 server and some month admining at BF:BC2… I NEVER banned anyone (except my clanmates when drunk but hell, it was jokes), I mute or kick insolent noodles but I never ban without a solid proof of hacking.
So yeah our philosophy drasticaly differ from here, and I dont think you are on the right path because 1) your server wont be populated 2) some of your mates are making the whole clan looking bad 3) you are lucky that you can still play on other servers and arent banned straight as soon as your UBC tag shows up. To backup that I can see that your server is often empty and is not well ranked, even when we (euro) are starving about server to play because the 2 or 3 remaining are allways full… That should prove to you that ensuring everyone is having fun, did not go in the right direction, even if I respect the idea, it was IMO badly executed and now your server is empty while it could be full 24/7.
Well thats just my 2 cents as an “old” admin, I dont really care about all the drama, I’m not banned from anywhere iirc and even if I’m someday, i’ll just open my server and steal all the regulars from all the other servers to teach them a little RESPECT!

Interesting … I did not notice that so many people were banned from the UBC Server. I remember that I was banned from it, lets see … in 2008/09 I think, so I’d like to throw in my story if ya don’t mind.
Me and my mate were having trouble hacking the Slipgate on, you guessed it, Slipgate. So I decided to go for something new which I think I discovered on my own. On another aspect: These little things that you could do were what made the game so great. Anyway I drove the titan over the hill behind the slipgate where usually a dessi was camping. It worked out really great and I was able to protect my mate who was happily hacking away at the slipgate. However I shouldnt be able to enjoy this really sweet victory for long because then I got banned.
Good to know I am not alone

Hey I saw my topic there too Apoc! Nice find… took me back When I watched that old movie I made described in the ubc topic it doesn’t even compare to the stuff people are now days doing… and I got steamrolled for that… says alot about good old McNite may he rest in peace and stay there.
