This thread has become quite hilarious, love how apoc posts hahaha, too funny. AND it so reminds me of the old forums where every thread would end in a fight. sigh, good old days.
Ofc I also have to comment on this ubc thingy, I get on fine with moosea and zman and about 4 years ago (or is it 5 already???) when ubc didnt have their own server mcnite (dunno if he s still around and some old ubc ppl that I forgot the names of) used to frequent my servers. They were alright, cant say anything bad about them. However I´ve heard about all this kicking/banning on their server, especially the “if you re better than one of their admins”. They re not the only ones though and these kind of things happened on every server in qw. At the end of the day, they pay for their server and can do what they want. Who cares.

(And FYI I did run 2 of the most populated servers back in the days on qw and YES I know how hard it is and YES some of my admins gave bad ban and kick too, I allways apologised here or in the old forums and tryed to join the two parts in order to all live happy in a little ponies world, I even faced the hack of the co-leader of my clan, and banned him straight away, the harder decisions allways are the ones that you take alone, jumping in the bandwagon to defend your clan / admins at all cost when what you / they did is clearly wrong, it’s just plain stupid IMO)

Apples, thanks for actually presenting some points and actually saying something besides ‘that’s the way it is because I say so’ and ‘I’m right because no one likes you.’ I respect what you’re saying, but we definitely have a difference of perspective and/or opinion. We run our server with a particular set of rules and philosophy. As you and others have noted, we can operate it the way we like. If anyone would like to debate the pros and cons of the way we operate, I would welcome it. I don’t appreciate slanderous comments directed towards my clanmates because someone’s feelings, ego, pride, etc… were somehow hurt because they got kicked from an online game server.

I don’t know what cases you are referring to where you said folks were treated poorly. No one likes to be kicked or banned for any reason. People are rarely if ever banned initially. You have to work for it. Apoc worked for it. I’m confident that any others banned from our server worked for it. It is not hard to get along with us. It’s not hard to have a friendly discussion with us about a kick or ban. Just because you come asking for a ban to be lifted doesn’t mean it is going to happen. From the instances that I’ve seen, that is where things normally get ugly. There are definitely gray areas in trying to admin. It’s not always perfect. We have lifted bans. Innocent until proven guilty is a principle of a lot of justice systems that I think is great, but this isn’t the real world. Unfortunately for those banned, we assume guilty until proven innocent, which is admittedly a tough rap to beat. I have not seen anything requiring some kind of apology. I don’t understand the need for apology because of how we run our server.

All I hear from those few whining about our bans (and they complain so loudly that you would think we are banning people left and right) is how they were banned because they are better than us. That’s a great approach to try to get unbanned. It’s a bunch of rubbish. There is plenty of folks better than me personnally in any number of aspects of QW. I would get no playing time with all the time I would have to spend banning folks. The bans have roots in folks not agreeing to our rules and their unwillingness to see eye to eye with us on our server. We have some members who are more than willing to tell folks off. I’ve seen little difference from what I’ve seen others say on any number of topics on this board or across QW’dom.

I don’t have anything against Apoc personnally. He may be a fine youngster as far as I know(he’s a good bit younger than me from as far as I can tell, and that’s not a bad thing either). We just don’t agree on some silly game. It is fun to fight and argue though, especially with nothing really at stake.

It is a bit hard to get on with peeps when they scream ‘Fk off you fking hacker’ and stuff like that down the mic. No need for the swearing, which only aggravates things. The main reason why i stopped playing on the UBC server.

  5. I would need examples of how i have failed in logical thinking and it resulted in parody, as iv had a look and they all make perfect sense to me.

Its really getting boring waking up to see that you have wrote another failed post, trying to be clever, and desperately clawing at anything to try and redeem yourself. But the fact of the matter is, very few people like you or your clan, nearly everyone disagrees with how you run your server, and now we all have a front row seat at watching you argue over spelling to draw attention away from you getting walked all over.

By merely saying i make no sense, and then making a joke about how even idiots have some good ideas, does not make that the case.

What i wrote is perfectly logical, i even explained it, broken down, into baby steps. When you questioned those steps, i corrected you, in even smaller baby steps. Now when you run out of things to say because you can see what i say is valid. You just reply with “your an idiot”.

Just letting you know, you may be considerably older than me, but your childish attempts at trying to escape this corner you have backed yourself into arent fooling anyone, especially not me. If you want to get out of this discussion, then please do so. I wont think any less of you. Just please stop making such predictable and meaningless statements in an attempt to salvage some tiny moral victory. This is overkill on my part. I should just acknowledge your desperation and leave it. Just felt the need to let everyone else know, this ***** doesnt fly.

Thanks for posting the threads that just back up what I’ve said earlier. McNite was hardcore about enforcing his vision of gameplay. He was much smarter than me in not wanting to argue back and forth.

We’re not talking about MCE though, talking about UBC. I got along (just) with MCE (Ruldolph and Queenie particularly, and i tend to have good games with Spongeboburu) With dave, i could never tell if he was actually being serious or not, so i just never joined a server with him on. ANYWAY, this isn’t about me, so i’ll stop.
