Resorting to the age thing. Go relax, lay down for a bit. I guess you’d like me to believe that you simply didn’t realize what you were typing as your fingers hit the keys…
like I said before, I called you on 2 things, showed you links from the devs to prove my point, you point to some review in an online magazine as gospel, I call you on that and now you want to argue about a post I deleted, GET BACK ON THE POINT. Next time you want to spout crap, back it up with REAL links

and remember, some people have been here a while, they may actually know things you don’t. You still haven’t acknowledged your previous 2 greivous errors, Until you do, you’re just another whiney kid

KTHXBYE

  • The End! -

No seriously, there has been no post on topic for the last few pages.

(Nail) #123

good idea, back on topic

like I said before, I want “Geezer” I saw him once and now can’t find him anywhere

if the tapirs are involved, I shall get my stick

(murka) #124

I want the white&pink archetype just because pink is the new white and white was the new black.

The real archetypes look all alike to me…

(Herandar) #125

Pretty sure it was on the customization video, or the PS3 gameplay video.

^^^ Wow if you want him cause he bears a resemblance to you Nail… DAMN you ugly boy!!

(Nail) #128

yes, the resemblance is startling, except I don’t smile that much

thanks, Singh

(MF Maou) #129

The Bomb & The Fortress.

(MadMike) #130

The Bug wins out here. By far, the coolest looking default archetype yet released.

(II Captain K II) #131

gotta love the borderline racist “the G”

But honestly “the good cop” and “the warrior” are the two coolest.

(Nail) #132

I still want an Armani and Guccis for the Geezer group, maybe a nice dark grey fedora as well. That Tully, she knows how to draw Canadians that’s for sure

Hell, I can’t get away from them!
What? Nothing remotely racist about that.

(crazyfoolish) #135

I really love how the faces shown in the character custumisation video are all so memorable and unique.

Depends on the way that you look at it.

(DarkangelUK) #136

I’d say it’s more of a stereotype than a racism thing.

(Herandar) #137

Since the G can be white, it really isn’t racist.

(BioSnark) #138

the archetype isn’t white.

It appears there are 10 archetypes per faction, as Olivier Leonardi (Art Director) explained in an interview on nxtgamer.com:

“what we did was, we defined 10 archetypes that all show a different personality in the story, so we have ten strong characters per faction, and then you can mix-and-match everything, so you can make a million different characters from these ten good-looking guys.”

    • Archetypes are appearance presets that can act as a base from which to customize your character. Each Faction has a distinct group of Archetype styles to build upon or combine with your other unlocked gear. You can see galleries and archetypes here:

I never said anything about Archetypes being just faces. Archetypes are pre-set looks - like matching sets - that players can use as sort of a starting point to make customize their characters. Olivier even mentions this in the quote I quoted him on.

“what we did was, we defined 10 archetypes that all show a different personality in the story, so we have ten strong characters per faction, and then you can mix-and-match everything, so you can make a million different characters from these ten good-looking guys.

You can mix and match EVERYTHING.
Everything means more than just faces.
from the archetypes released so far my fav is the look.
but im still wondering if this one will be one of the 3 missing security archetypes, since that mask and hood looks awesome
That Archetype is “The Eel.”

If anyone is looking for a link where it states you change bodytypes, here you go - http://www.colonyofgamers.com/cogforums/showthread.php?p=579782

Q&A with Richard Ham

“You can change class at any time during a mission using a Command Post, and when you’re between missions, you can change your body type via the appearance customization options.”

Granted, things could have changed since then, but since I haven’t found any updated info on the subject, this is what I am going with for now.

It’s really not…

Everything I put in the Compendium came from a source - How reliable a source is up for question, but mainly I try to stick with what the devs say. And in the instances where I do make an assumption or an educated guess based on available information, I let it be known that I am in fact making an assumption, to eliminate confusion.

I base my info on what I can find and/or what is available. If something changers, but no info is released beforehand for me to update it with, you can’t really blame me for that.

Besides, there is a disclaimer at the beginning of the Compendium, so even if it was chock full of assumptions, this is already covered:

NOTE: Do not take everything here as 100% final. I am simply taking various sources of info and compiling them all into one. I am providing this as a way to share my findings with others as a reference, to get an idea of what the game is about and how it plays out. I have tried my best to check sources and remain as accurate as possible and although they have reached beta, the game is still in development and things can still change.
