Hey guys just wanted to say THANKS!!! i D/Led ET and i LOVE IT!!! it truely is tactical, (Only wishes snipers were 1 shot kill not 3-4 shot kill)

But anyways just wanted to say thanks for the awesome game and am wondering why is it free i would pay for this game. (even if it is older)

FYI: sniper body-shots do 50 damage, unless you are sniping from a great distance.
Sniper head-shots take 100 HP. However, W:ET has one fine detail to counter this: as soon as a medic joins your team, you will get a small health bonus, meaning it will take 2 headshots to take someone down.

Snipers have no damage falloff. There is a max range, beyond which no damage is done but it’s REALLY far.

Find a better hiding spot, take your time, only fire when you see the whites of their eyes (literally). Oh, and be prepared to miss alot, and reload even more.

Glad you enjoy ET, it IS trully a tactical game. Just beware the ego maniacs that play (they can be spotted easily by looking for the word NOOB repeated often by the same player/s).

Server admins can set the damage rate of all the weaponary individually.
I wouldn’t say it makes it any more realistic, just harder to play. Knives are a big thing these days for server admins to play around with. Some servers have incredible amounts of knife damage set with the added bonus of being able to throw them.

Personally speaking, its hard to find a server that is set 100% the way you will like it, but thats what happens when you get a game such as et, every server is like a new world where the aliens have set up shop for themselves. It’s just up to you how much of their world you can manipulate to satisfy your own needs.

One of the best international servers i have played on would have to be EvilSmursfLair though, and if you are in the U.S.A I recommend it for a decent fun style server with the capacity to have large team numbers. It’s always nice to miscue a panza shot and still take out a few enemies.

I don’t class etpro as a “mod”…Just “crap”. It is a crap game to play for fun, mainly due to the fact it is a “comp” mod and not suited to the “average” player. Besides that, any one experienced in playing pro usually either hax or uses every legal exploit under the sun to give themselves advantage over the so called “noob” brigade. Besides that, there is no reward in playing etpro. I play etpub, jaymod, nq, forty, for the fact that i can max out all my classes in one sitting if i see fit to do so, I can accumulate a very large xp level, and they are so much fairer on new players. Plus…etpro has the habbit of telling you you cant join servers because of “x” reason for “y” amount of time. Most the time, if you get into a server, you wish you had not wasted your time connecting.

All the servers I listed above are “pub” servers, that appreciate new players, and are set to be as friendly as possible. I have never joined an etpro server and been greeted with a “hi are you new?” or “do you need some help?”. Pub players are much more inclined to share tips and help new players. I’ve played the game since its release, i’ve played servers around the world, and I don’t believe anything anyone could say would change my opinion on that.

Final thought…don’t play etpro “unless” you plan on being a competition player, and if that should be the case, I pray for your soul…seriously, I do.
