Whats up just saying hi

I don’t class etpro as a “mod”…Just “crap”. It is a crap game to play for fun, mainly due to the fact it is a “comp” mod and not suited to the “average” player. Besides that, any one experienced in playing pro usually either hax or uses every legal exploit under the sun to give themselves advantage over the so called “noob” brigade. Besides that, there is no reward in playing etpro. I play etpub, jaymod, nq, forty, for the fact that i can max out all my classes in one sitting if i see fit to do so, I can accumulate a very large xp level, and they are so much fairer on new players. Plus…etpro has the habbit of telling you you cant join servers because of “x” reason for “y” amount of time. Most the time, if you get into a server, you wish you had not wasted your time connecting.

All the servers I listed above are “pub” servers, that appreciate new players, and are set to be as friendly as possible. I have never joined an etpro server and been greeted with a “hi are you new?” or “do you need some help?”. Pub players are much more inclined to share tips and help new players. I’ve played the game since its release, i’ve played servers around the world, and I don’t believe anything anyone could say would change my opinion on that.

Final thought…don’t play etpro “unless” you plan on being a competition player, and if that should be the case, I pray for your soul…seriously, I do.

gee, thanx. While you are at it, get bani to uniform the hitbox sizes so that ALL mods use the SAME ones hey? No, didn’t think you would. I guess we will just have to hear more “etpro hitboxes are different to pub ones” whining for a few years yet then.

ps. kinda glad that you pro’s stay away from pubs generally. It makes it so much more enjoyable to play with normal people, instead of jerks that love themselves so much that everyone else is a noob compared to them.

That would rather hard since ETPub has more options affecting the hitboxes than etpro (including the realhead stuff which etpro developer zinx kindly donated to them.) But why should facts get in the way of a good rant

Agreed on the admin abuse.
However, the last part where you get kicked for doing objectives happens on ETPro servers as well, I know a few.

A lot of nice people from this forum (including SD devs) play on ETPro servers. The official SD server even ran ETPro at some point before it disappeared (the unofficial SD server still does, come check it out).

I also…introduce myself (again)!

I used to play etf, q3f, qwtf and so am looking forward to this game, even if it will be more like tribes than team fortress.

In the mean time I play css or guild wars.
