What map you hate the most?

(AirborneVolley) #61

There is a chance to get spawnblocked on Trainyard, which is very annoying to me. After blowing over the track controls and the blocker carriage it becomes even more ridiculous IMO. There is simply not enough time to deliver both datacores if you struggled with the objectives before.

(Lissxy) #62

I’d say Bridge because that’s where I caught myself raging the most, although the last part of Bridge is okay-ish. Chapel can be pretty frustrating too but there has been games in Chapel which I’ve enjoyed.

(Dawnlazy) #63

Trainyard because you have to run a marathon to deliver the last objective, each failed push hurts the attackers like twice as much as in other maps. Also it can be kinda hard to discern enemies from the background with all the orange graphics in the first objective, one of the things I like about Dirty Bomb is how everything is colorful and easy to tell apart unlike those grey-beigeish shooters with a bunch of crap that makes you hard to see.

(Volcano) #64

i want to say all of them

london bridge- first phase is far to difficult to repair the tank with a team with a brain and last phase for defenders instantly lose once the first documents are taken

camden - this is just for me, i cant/struggle to see anyone on this map due to the color scheme especially on first phase

victoria - first phase is so claustrophobic, they could remove the mg over watching main entrance 2nd phase as well

chapel - make the gaps in the fence in last phase wider so its possible to shoot through them without an aimbot

canary wharf - most of my issues with this map come from the yellow pipes that seem to take more effort than it should to get on top of. first objective room could use expanding to lessen the spam

(stoutSoup) #65

Trainyard; First objective becomes a slog.

(InfernoKun) #66

Probably Bridge. Once they get that generator up… It’s hell to try to plant sometimes.

(Dawnlazy) #67

You have to shoot the generator instead. Use nades, stickies, Rhino’s minigun and stuff like that to destroy it.

(MercifuL) #68

Terminal sucks overall. Chapel because its Airstrike/ Artillery/Laser city. Bridge because it sucks for attackers. Underground sucks for defenders on last stage and the map reduces fire support. Trainyard overall is not bad but, I feel like when your attacking the enemy spawns so close to the Objective.

(FurriesAreAwesome) #69

Bridge. Once you’re over the initial hump of getting the EV moving, the rest is easy. Securing the drugs, in particular, is far too easy.

(LifeupOmega) #70

Can I change my vote to Underground now? I love its design but I hate how it plays. Wish last had more flanking routes, wish the mid-point escalators were an actual objective instead of a “roughly after a minute you spawn there” deal.

(Dawnlazy) #71

I think this map could benefit from a forward spawn point mechanic for that area just like Terminal. And maybe the same for the last objective in Trainyard.

(surprisingVoid) #72

@Aazhyd said:
I tried playing Arty on Underground. A died a few times trying to aim the artillery strike.
I think there’s about 1 (useless) spot that he can target. It’s depressing.

You need to know where to use them, like on the top of the first objective, at the middle and on the last c4. I won a lot of games with kira by putting the laser on the c4 of the last stage on underground. You just have to be smart and shoot any glass on the ceiling, since it blocks you from calling in a laser/strike and maybe airstrike i think.

(surprisingVoid) #73

Well i love Underground.
I hate bridge because on the first stage it is hard to attack.
Chapel for me is a lot of fun… expect the last stage. A good airstrike from attackers can wipe a team out and it is really easy to use frags, airstrikes, etc to stop/kill people leaving spawn. That part needs more cover and a new exit.
And i really hate trainyard. If you are attacking a team with artys, skyhammers, kiras, naders, fraggers you are just going to get rekt. Since a lot of the map depends on cqc with no roof tops.

(Ferrett321) #74

They seriously need to put a wall there, so defusers can sit behind SAFELY without being hit by players from OTHER ROOM AND AREAS in the map.

and straighten out the desk so you can’t plant where you described.

(jazzedSponge) #75

I hate Terminal most of all. The first part of it is the most fun, with different routes and an interesting layout. Once you blow the wall though it gets very boring… only two entry points to the area and the layout of the containers is a camper’s paradise. Furthermore, I detest the lack of secondary objectives - if this map comes up when I have that mission I generally leave.

(Matuno) #76

Bridge
Can be very fun or very shitty. Often (too) hard to break defenses. I still love it for the mid-game.

Underground
Love it, except for the final plant. Impossible to defend at that point.

Trainyard
Love it, except for the final drop.

Chapel
Used to hate this map for everything it stands for, but is the lesser of worst maps.

Terminal
Is alright, though I never feel as if I have any influence over the outcome.

No map is actually great though, purely due to a lack of routes, meaningful secondary objectives to fight over. It always means that there’s one place that’s overcrowded.

You can shoot it?

(Grave_Knight) #78

I hate the second part of Chapel so much. Sure it’s easy to get Game Mode XP on it, but it’s so tedious for attackers. At least on Bridge once you manage to repair the EV you spawn near the EV’s starting point but on Chapel you constantly have to run half way across the battle zone so Defenders constantly have time to put up defenses and bunker down next to the EV. The worse part is if you manage to get it near the construction lift if you die you have to run half the length of the EV route while Defenders spawn right next to the EV.

(Sir_Slam) #79

Bridge. Everyone just drops their dicks on bridge. I dont know what it is about that make that lowers everyone’s IQ, but I dont play it.

(FalC_16) #80

I know the post is from July. But Dome is really annoying at the moment. The size of the map and getting over to the objectives is tedious.
