Weapon Discussion

My medium Engi uses Gerund (Four-Vent, Grip, Green-eye, Extended Mag) + CARB-9 (Four-Vent, Sling, Adjusted Sights, Duct-Tape). I used to use a Rhett, but I’ve found I prefer the Gerund’s higher accuracy and larger mag. I also just switched over from a Galactic to the CARB. My Medic, also a medium, uses Euston (Down-Vent, Grip, Green-eye, Extended Mag) + Drognav (Up-Vent, COGA, Rapid-Fire). My light Op uses a Bulpdaun (Six-Vent, Grip, Green-eye. Extended Mag) + SEagle (Up-Vent, Holster, Green-eye, Rapid-Fire). My heavy Soldier uses a Maximus (Dual-Vent, Green-eye) + Gerund (Four-Vent, Grip, Green-eye, Extended Mag). I also liked, when my Medic was a light, that same Drognav build with a Hockler (Up-Vent, Holster, Green-Eye, Extended Mag).

As you can probably tell, my playing style is probably a little different from most. I almost always go with accuracy and stability over power (Hence the muzzle brakes on everything). I also ADS an awful lot. I’m not sure how I’d manage without the Green-eye.

I play with mostly similar weapons to you do, and have similar opinions of the Greeneye. One thing you may want to try for your Heavy soldier is putting a GL attachment on the gerund. The attachment makes ARs harder to control, but with the Gerund, its not all that bad. Normally the trade-off is questionable, but with the 3 soldier frag buffs, its becomes a powerhouse. Shoot a grenade and guys are on their ass with low hp.

Soldier + Underslung Grenade Launcher = Pure Awesome

(wolfnemesis75) #44

My Heavy Soldier uses a Rhett with Underslung Grenade Launcher. Gets the job done for sure.

FALSE
just like the COD boys are noob tubers the people who use carbs are carb noobers

(its al bout security) #46

my most used weapon is apparently the barnett… i feel like a n00b

(weeschwee) #47

i really wish SD would allow us to swap weapon and weapon attachments during games. i want to try out all these different combinations but it’s such a hassle. and you can’t really know how a weapon is going to handle with certain attachments until you just try it. it’s really discouraging. the whole character loadouts is really discouraging. right now i use the carb-9 and the seagull becuase they are really affective. i’d like to branch out, but comparing is so hard and time consuming. the stats in shooters don’t seem to be accurate either.

(DouglasDanger) #48

I though the buffs only applied to hand-thrown grenades.

I use the Carb, because it is the best SMG by a wide margin. It does more damage with a suppressor than the Kross does without. I put a suppressor on it, a grip and extended mags. I only aim down the sights when I am leaning out from cover, which doesn’t happen very often.

I typically take the Belgo as a backup.
Carb and ceagle.

Gerund and carb when I sometimes play medium.
Close.

The best combos, as indicated by number of people using them and competitive play:

Light Body
CARB-9 + Sea Eagle

Medium Body
Rhett (with drum) + CARB-9

Heavy Body
LOL

(Got2ball) #50

I mostly use the:

Kross + Ritchie Revolver

Carb9 + Ritchie Revolver

Eutston +Kross

(DarkangelUK) #51

Unrelated: Got2ball, is that my iBrink pic? I lol’d when I noticed it there

(iezza) #52

A) Sea Eagle.
B) i like the tokmak, rapid fire is cool ,and extended mags + COGA with barnett is perfect for the 1-2 tactic.

(Got2ball) #53

If you made the pic then yes it is I suppose lol. I googled Brink pics this came up and used to make a simply yet nice sig = p

(wolfnemesis75) #54

That’s cool. Should you send royalties? Jk.

(DarkangelUK) #55

Original, I made it 2 years ago lol

(TheMonk) #56

So what if there’s a few guns everyone always uses? At least then there is more focus on the objectives :stuck_out_tongue:
If there were only slight differences between each gun then they’d all be the same gun anyway? eh?

(-Hideo-) #57

Light: Galactic, red dot sight, 4 muzzle break, speed sling, high capacity mag backed by the Ritchie.

Medium: Rocksteady front, Galactic back.

Heavy: i just can’t dig it.

As far as the programming is concerned, the attachment is still a normal frag. The descriptions just explain that the buffs don’t apply to the Lobser, AGL, or class grenades.

(wolfnemesis75) #59

Yeah, I think the main benefit of the grenade launcher it is faster than throwing and easier to target. My heavy uses the launcher.

(Shadowcat) #60

IMO, the speed and range of the GL attachment are just bonuses. I use it because its a contact explosive, making it more or less impossible to dodge.
