Another way to solve it from the admin side is to set pb_sv_guidrelax to > 0. Ours is at 5. When we had it at 0 everybody was complaining all the time and having to wait alot before getting in. Now these troubles are over.

So I guess setting PB_SV_GUIDRelax to 1 would be better than set it to 5 (you achieve the same effect, but disallow duplicte GUIDs).

Well I’ve set it to 1 on our server and seem to be able to connect every time with no GUIDAUTH issues, which is sweet, cheers for the tip mate!

well the error is quite less frequent now; the only trouble is etadmin_mod starts kicking people for having a guid not “mature” enough :D.

According to Evenbalance this should be fixed in v1.190 of the PB client which was released 2 weeks ago. It still happens to me though.

Ive talked yesterday with a pb-staff member, (in IRC - #punkbuster), and he told me, that there is no bugfix yet, …

and you will tell me, that theres a bugfix? look around, the most people in this forum have this prob at this time
maybe you mean something else…
tell me what pb-version you have

No. All I’m saying is that they claimed that this was fixed in a recent release in their first response to me, but if you’d read my post more carefully you’d see that I still have this problem as well (which I told them). I’m giving them all information I can, so yes, they are now aware that it’s still not fixed.

hm, ok…
If you get this error again, then try a “tracert etguidauth.evenbalance.com” and send them the results, they think its a ISP-problem, wrong routings and so on…
