Well you speak about SD, but they can ONLY ask ID to get it back (You see what is “it”), and they can’t harass them about it.

I was wondering if anyone noticed that Paul’s modified ET.exe 2.60b is not compatible with the current version of TZAC, it says exactly that when you try to launch ET from TZAC.
Just an observation, no criticism, and I apologize if this issue has already been brought up here. I meant to check but I simply did not have the time to go through 22 pages of comments (!!!).
First may I say that if this works I will be very happy and would like to thank you paul for taking the time to actually do this…I am a dipstick when it comes to the computer—I do know how to turn it on etc, but am not techincal at ALL…I have downloaded the fix for the server list but I don’t know what to do now—could you be a bit more specific on that end??? I haven’t been able to play ET for almost 6 months or more, and I would soooooo like to be able to play!!!

Wussie, Rudy made a solution without a modified EXE, because a modified EXE is incompatible with ETPro or TZAC:

If you download my proxy service and install it, you can just start playing ET like normal again.
Rudi, this is a great service! The problem is, out of all the 15,564 people who ET installed on their computer collecting dust, only a fraction will make it to see your fix. This is why I added your fix to my installer. In fact most of my time has gone to contingencies of making your fix integrate with my installer manager (done). Speaking of which…
id has already notified me that they do not and will not support bundles.
I am searching for links to include as backup for downloading WolfET.exe. Also, I can add any clan volunteers willing to host.
I have a request in with filefront.com, as I think they are the safest and most reliable, and I want them as one of primary.
I hope to have this installer “manager” ready by next week, maybe sooner. I will need community help testing.

Well, just list some facts. The masterlist has been down for 2months already…? 2 whole months. And how many updates about what is going on we received or actually seen? 1. Nothing more. I call that sad. If such thing happened @ CoD, I bet their servers will be up again 2hours later.
I’m not comparing CoD with ET, but 2 months is just too many. It takes way to long and still we received to other updates from THAT company called ID. It’s a fail mate, if you ask me.
If you wait on an official response, I assume you will be still around here in this thread 2 years later. They seems to be to lazy to post just a single message.
(thinks about the other times the masterlist has been down. We never received an official message.)
I’m not disagreeing with you, it’s absolutely stupid, but until they come out and say “We’re not bringing it back”, we don’t have the right/ability to go around saying “The masterlist will not return”.

It looks like you have a decent download speed, mind if I make you the primary if Gamefront.com does not agree? This would mean you would get all the traffic, if your site went down, it would move on to next mirror, and so on. Otherwise rudiv.se will be next in line.
That’s not a problem with me, I’m implementing a lot more servers in the near future anyway, so high availability will always be achieved (obviously not just for my personal site).
