Hey guys, finish up last game if you want. Mitsid, I warned you! Great competition in this one, tinker beat me twice, armed once. Don’t worry though, you’ll get plenty of work out, and if you want a piece of me later, we can arrange that;)
I dont understand, if armed beat you once, why is he playing final and not you? i still would like to see final results in your quad. You never published them!!!

Armedmanus vs Tinker 1-0 with one still playing.
We all beat up on my man Sandman.
As I see it, Tinker waxed me but Armed got at least one game off of him. If he takes both, Tinker would win the tiebreaker with me because, like I said, he waxed me twice. If he doesn’t, Tinker would win and Armed would get a clean second.
Sooo, like I said, things are pretty selttled in terms of pairings. I had said I wouldn’t play and was really just keeping a place, plus I didn’t earn my way through! Don’t worry, Mitsid, you will get plenty of chances for revenge:)

He seems to be pretty good he did kill my daves but none of our matches is decided yet… I also managed to kill some of his people
Armed has already shown he can win a game against Tinker, Jerry is good for a game maybe too. Should be a great final! Can’t wait to hear how construction plays also, always thought that was a pretty wide open map.

yeah mitsid kinda made things even or even got ahead, he killed my commander and the one and the fryer-juan on the other game.
don’t overestimate me, I kinda NEVER play 26 pt games, I declined invites on 100% of the cases.
I don’t know, having tasted the sharp end of your gus/juan spear, that’s a damn tough squad, at least the way you play it. I forgot to post all the squads for the finals, do you guys want to self post (have some fun) and introduce your final acheiving squads?
If he did get one of your Jaun’s (my strat, only sucessful once) I’d like to see if his squad can do the distance dance w. you.
NOT ROOTING FOR ANYONE!!! Just want a great, interesting final. So tink, when we going to see some video, even if it sucks? Have you keyed on just taping the replay (which you can access from options anytime)…I would think the best would be an opponent who also recorded that, you splice the two together, viola narrative.

Armedmanus @ Centro 1
Jerry-Rigs spread his Fryers, deployed UAV’s, and left one exposed. Armedmanus took a Fryer shot at the exposed UAV and then clusters up on his left with UAV’s and SheildBot deployed. His Capt takes The Command Position in front of the pit behind the barrier.
Jerry-Rigs ghosts his Hackers and advances his UAV’s. They are exposed and one is in the scoring area. No points for that though. Rigs is also kinda clustered to his left. His Capt also assumes The Position. Everybody’s medics are in the protected cubbies in the left rear.
Armedmanus shuffles toons around to kill Rigs’ right done and drain his zone occupying drone down to yellow.
Rigs’ Capt drops a block to close the passage to the right, tosses a crate for the drone and takes an arty shot to splash Manus’s Capt and Dave before retreating back into The Position. Phew, a lot of work there. The severely wounded drone moves into the cover of the block. Ivan advances, tosses stun to Manus’s Capt (can’t quite include Dave) and retreats to a little cover. Kate does the same with toxic but includes Dave and ends in better cover. Rigs right Fryer unghosts and hits Armedmanus’ Capt with 2 unshielded side shots (in The Position) before backing out of counter-sniper range. Rigs has wounded Manus but it is very recoverable and has left himself exposed to arty, grenade, and possibly toxic. A very resource intensive turn for Rigs. Was it worth it?

Armedmanus’ Capt assumes The Position with a UAV to the right. He holds a Fryer in the right rear and everybody else clusters left with a ShieldBot.
Rigs loosely clusters left and back a little. He sends UAV’s a little more forward, one into The Position and ghosts one Hacker.
Rigs advances his left drone as the battlefield rotates counter-clockwise then advances his left Fryer to take a pot shot at Armedmanus’s Capt then retreats to cover provided by Jerry’s new block. Manus’s drone is in a threatening position so Rigs tosses a crate to close the path. The center drone maintains The Position.

Mitsid sends UAV’s to the wings and rearranges everybody else behind his zone wall. I think Mitsid really counts the squares and looks a couple turns in advance. His arrangement tweaking seems to indicate prepping for a coordinated move. Whatever Mitsid’s plan, Jerry-Rigs starts the party by stunning Mitsid’s Daves. He nicks the Daves with arty and tosses a block to close the approach on the deep right. He advances a Fryer and deploys a UAV to complete the block. He shifts his other UAV and Fryer to the left.
Mitsid rearranges everybody again, but takes a few pop shots at the block bringing it down to yellow. Kate un-stuns a Dave.
Rigs pushes a little harder and moves a drone up the right in yellow cover but direct shot of everything Mitsid has. Huh? I can image we will scratch one drone real soon. He tosses a crate to keep his dwindling alley block alive and moves Ivan into the far right alley behind the crate. On the left, Rigs advanced his drone to the barricade with not much cover. The Fryer on the left took a forward position in cover. With the shuffling, Rigs’ fryers managed a shot on Mitsid’s Kate and UAV. Small stings. Expect Mitsid to explode soon.

Jerry-Rigs has spread his Fryers and deployed his drones, one of them into the zone with everybody else behind their wall. He also laid a block in the straight alley. Mitsid moved one drone up to the block, rearranged everybody a bit (counting squares) and deployed the second drone. Mitsid is patient. Looks like he’s letting Rigs drive … for the moment. Jerry pushed his drones forward. One of them assisting the block on the outside of the straight alley. He advanced Ivan and Fryer up the alley and rearranges Kate and Capt behind the wall. Given the relative positions, Mitsid is likely to pounce soon.
Tinker @ Suburbs 1
OK, when somebody comes in with 2 Juan’s and 3 Gus’s, the opponent should expect that the plan is to scoot Juan into position to use all his energy on offense (I wrote that after Tinker’s 2nd turn). 3 Gus’s means about 12 squares of movement for somebody. That’s skinny range. Actually it’s beyond skinny range because Juan hasn’t used his own energy yet. That uses a lot of resources but if you get a full strength 1st kill, it’s probably worth it. Well, 3 Fryer shots isn’t enough to take out a skinny but add in an arty splash and it is.
Tinker spread his Juan/Gus pairs and centered his Capt/Gus pair.
Jerry-Rigs spread his Hackers, centered his Ivan, and tucked his Capt in a corner on the right before advancing his right Hack a little down the path. A little too far down the path.
Tinker shifted his right Gus and all the Gus’s worked together to squirt (1 each) his left Juan all to way left and then forward into Fryer range of Rig’s right Hacker (Remember that 3 Fryer hits won’t kill a skinny?). At the same time his Capt got moved towards the zone and walked into arty range. Scratch one of Hacker. Gus’s trade healing. Very nice opening Tinker. I’m most impressed by the fact that you spread your resource usage around and didn’t unbalance anyone.
Jerry-Rigs reels :eek:. He advances on the left, hides in the middle and left but given the mobility of 6 remaining squirts, probably not very well.

All games with tinker are very interesting. Still not clear how it will end. Now I understand how tinker managed to beat Ciakgb…
I’m actually running a three gus squad now, blistering my way through random mataches:)
I bought my fourth Gus today, another 45,000 coins and I can have my dream all-gus meatgrinder.

Mitsid, I told you you’d get all you can handle this tourney:) In retrospect “our” cup field was weak. I fully plan to get killed this cup!
I should say that relative to what it could have been, Tinker and SuperNge are both insanely great and didn’t play. No offence meant, after all I was in it too:)
