Commentary.
g00n gave his final act of defiance by tossing toxic at Ivan and then hiding behind a tree. Jerry-Rigs moved his toxified Ivan into the zone and positioned a Hacker to block g00n’s remaining Kate. That was all for show because the other Hacker was able to get a single clean angle shot that allowed a round-the-corner UAV blast to finish the final Kate. Game over.

Good game. Kudos for having some special sauce left at the end of the match.

I just won the first match against Tinker.
But will probably loose the second… With the units I have left, I can’t deal more then 300dmg and he has three gus’ that heal 180 per turn… haha

Conventional wisdom says hold all explosives for kill shots, I disagree for DOT weapons, get 'em out there and let them do their tick damage:)

quick briefing:

my first game with armedmanus went quite good for me till I made a stupid turn and sacrificed my fryer-juan for nearly nothing. the game went one, he lost a dave, i went offensive to the middle after he blocked 3 of 3 major paths with deploy-o-cover, defended and hold center for 4 turns while he took my squad apart by simply shoot&run. hoped for a mistake on his side (forgetting about the last missing flag) and stood in the center but he just killed both last soldiers. - so he won there.

the second game is quite different, I lost my commander early for his dave (again) and had trouble finding good positions for my juans. we went back and forth and didnt even shot once for about 3 turns till I (finally) positioned myself to get one of his (important) LaHaques with 6 (!!!) watercannons (pushes) in one turn. we both now try to take out 1 more soldier what will probably end the game for either him or me :slight_smile:

the videos here are even worse than before and differe from the actual game( made video, redid turn and forgot to make new video) but I think the most interesting scenes are O.K.

just a thought :

for the Finals, something “else” on how many games to play, how many maps … maybe even the chance to actually change the squad / the weapons / the abilities(still don’t know if I have / had to keep all my abilities for all 6 games :smiley: )

or is something of that already in plan?

Commentary:
First blood has been drawn in Beasttekers vs 3Dayo! Beast launched Kate’s toxic grenade dousing 3Dayo’s Madam and Dave in hellish fumes! 3Dayo retaliates by knocking Beasts Kate out of cover, and the duo of Madam and Dave take her out!, however 3Dayo’s maneuver has left His Captain exposed… Will 3Dayo’s Captain survive the next round? or will he join Kate in toon Valhalla

Meanwhile In Igoland vs 3Dayo its too soon to tell, but but igolands initial formation scares me! It kinda reminds me of a tiger stalking his prey…

Jerry-Rigs this one is for you, I enjoyed your commentary, so I thought Id try my hand at it, that said I’m not sure it can keep it up, Its harder than it looks!

Love to see these vids, have you set up a link or YouTube?

I would say the purpose of the tourney was to see what squad stood standing at the end, so I would say we stay with the squads.

Abilities on the other hand I could see a case for repicking them for the final (mystery number one).

As for maps, I should take a picture of the super high tech system I use–it’s my sons cars box and a bunch of little slips of paper–but it is fair and you don’t have to play more than one match on a map (plus the both first move balance built in), so I say we stick with what got us here:)

Same deal. New maps, you can pick your abilities on your first challenge, still two games per player. In the case of a tie for first (highly unlikely) we will randomly pick a tie breaker sudden death map,

FINALS TOURNEY OF DEATH

The final quad represents the top four finishers in previous quads. The one remaining quad will be designated as its own tourney.

Finals will be:

Tinker
Armedmanus
Mitsid
Jerry-Rigs

Abilities can be reselected, but once you play a turn with them, that’s what you use for whole final.

Pairings:

Tinker vs Armedmanus CONSTRUCTION
Tinker vs Mitsid WESTMINSTER
Tinker vs Jerry-Rigs SUBURBS
Armedmanus vs Mitsid CITY CENTER
Amredmanus vs Jerry-Rigs CENTRO
Mitsid vs Jerry Rigs LAPA

In the case of tie (for first only) a random map will be selected and played until a clear win is recorded.
