Exactly, like i said if the whole team uses them they can already be over powerful. I cant think of any other class addons more powerfull than turrets when used properly

That requires a lot of coordination and teamwork. That amount of coordination and teamwork can be used with anything (except operative because SD failed at balancing). You can have a team of medics reviving each other constantly. A team of engineers with a crapload of turrets. A team of assault spamming nades (trust me, with the soldier this works. You get grenades quickly and they are strong).
Yup, teamwork is a part of brink. But still doesn’t change that turrets arent less powerfull than any other class addon when used right. And if you dont find that then I suggest you learn how lol. its not very hard
It really only works on bots or retard tier enemies. If players would stop rushing and just stop near a corner and peak around and throw nades they can do it. Or even jump around a corner and throw nades and run back to safety.
Or have a medic use adrenaline on a heavy that would sacrifice himself just once. It’s really not that hard.
And most of the times when turrets work in groups (while defending) it’s on spawn camping maps like CC or aquariam (during the vip stage, and only works on bots since they move through on exit).
But when it’s maps like those you can just have 1 heavy with a gotlung (only time he is useful) firing with little backup (that’s what my friends did. 2 soldiers and 2 medics).
You are giving yourself too much undeserved credit, little buddy. Feel free to have another go though. Hey! That even rhymes. 
Back to topic. You apologists can go around in circles all you want but it’s not going to change the fact that Brink is ridden with design flaws and piss poor balancing. The turrets are just one of the many examples of what’s wrong with this game. I’d be happy to list all of them, if requested.

IT COSTS THREE ABILITY POINTS!!!
There is NO, REPEAT NO advantage for an engi to spend three points on a heavy turret. No benefit whatsoever, you may as well just have 1 turret ability and have used the other two slots for something different. THIS is the argument about doing something to make each turret distinct.
Its got sweet FA about how you use them, your entire team engi’ing up, setting several in succession its the point that for an ability that basically costs your up to three points its absolutely F’ing useless.
Aside from my specialist engi, I would never ever consider getting the other two upgrades now when opting for a turret because THERE IS NO DISTINCT BENEFIT argue about it all you like, its not going to change that fact.
I just can’t understand why some of you just don’t get it.

-Heavy are weak compared to other classes.
-Operatives are the most useless (which is disappointing, since I love being the stealthy class).
-Too much spread. Makes the game more casual and gives players that suck an undeserved chance at killing.
-Some of the abilities suck. (Shoot grenade. Really?).
-Engineers are overpowered (Yup, even though they are OP, that doesn’t mean they should make a part of game play completely useless. They have to nerf what makes him op. He has too many objectives and wep buf/kevlar vest is too good compared to other classes).
-Maps are imbalanced and cause spawn camping.
-Maps are boring and dull because they only have one path, making the game play even more repetitive.

I could add more to the list, but this thread is about turrets lol (maybe start a thread about it) and turrets arent any less powerful than any other abilities, and against human players, if not for you, then i suggest learning how to use them XD
3 points for the gatling turret. Just as useless as the 1st turret.

Like I said if you think the first turret is ‘usless’ and more useless than other addons the you dont know how to use them lol and need to learn. Oh wait… you have quit the game.
There is nothing to learn. It’s pointless wasting 2 more points (What does your little brain not get). It doesn’t matter if the gattling turret is stronger. The problem is with the lock on. The lock destroys the turret so much that it’s pointless having a stronger turret, since it probably won’t even fire a bullet in it’s life.
Someone getting slightly annoyed? lol. this thread is about turrets, and how turrets are in the game, not necessarily the tiers of turrets, but the turret itself is not less powerfull than any other abilities when you know how to use it

Lol im not a fanboy, there is many problems with brink, and im sure some others who i play with would agree im very critical of them ( there’s too many to list) but its my choice to play this shoddy game because i have fun. the sun dont shine out its ass like others here think.
My advice is dont get annoyed over some random person on a forum, unless you like being annoyed lol, dont give them the satisfaction of getting you peed off lol.

You guys are going too far. If people shoot turrets, it means they are bothered by them. Or do you think they do it for xp ? A turret that can’t shoot wouldn’t be as effective as a turret which does. A harmless turret would be ignored or very low priority. Gatling turret being or not being worth the 2 extra points is another matter.
you should just let these guys have at it. I’m surprised it took them this long to find each other.
