I dont have anything against you also to your clan but in my opinion use this Facade stuff is not a decent way to manage getting people in your server.
When i check the master list i see many servers with 30/60 players and all is fake servers, and if i check the server ip almost all of these server are F|A.

if you say you dont need this kind of stuff disable it man, this is not fair.

And YES i have a server for 9 years without facade, no cheaters (i hope), decent forum hosted in own domain, TS3 for ppls, no xp save, no auto promotion and stuffs like that and running etpro.

Dont get why the trash against FA… they did a great job and players like it and thats why they popular. players attract players and with FA they know there almost always players on.

Servers popularity comes and go, some of u might remember BBA that was a huge server back in the days that today is almost dead. :frowning:

I used to play on FAST FRAGGERS 2.55 server; I was playing 2.60b but a friend just installed the main installer and played it, so I made a second install as he did not want to move on and played where he was… I spent the rest of afternoon on it, and I got mainly my skills from there: 2 NQ servers with 64 slots, almost full all the time, even the night.

Sadly, at the end of the summer (2007 or 2008), it stopped. Next year they came back, but there have not been the same success… Sadly.

I beg to differ. Can you please PM me one screenshot with IP on it and having 30/60? If you can prove me out of “many” if just 5 server with 30/60 belongs to me then I will disable it. If I don’t have servers with 30/60 how can i disable it? Can I? Example being:

That server doesn’t belong to me. It’s that dutch IP and now faking my server name. I can’t do anything about it. Looser got to ride on other people name. Please PM me proof so I can figure out who is faking my server name with 30/60. Your PM will help and eagerly waiting for your PM.

Now please define “all”. Here admins have 1-3 facades for one server… I run 8-11 servers on 2.55 so am I entitled to run 30 facades? Just doing simple maths. Just FYI I don’t run 30 facades but I am just asking.

My host gs.com doesn’t allow to run server facade servers. Does that mean admins hosting with YCN aren’t allow to run server facade too? Because that’s whole topic is going about. Admins think, “If I can’t run facade more then one then others admin running 2 are doing wrong and shouldn’t”.

At the end of day, I will disable my redirects aka facades from 2.6b if other admins on 2.55 will do same. :slight_smile:

I’m sure we can all agree that server facades are fake servers, and that fake servers is a bad thing.
People who say otherwise can join Vincent the Dutchman’s new thing. It’s way better than 20 fak…server facades.

When you use a fake server then you don’t care about fair competition. Saying “wha wha wha, it’s because you can’t set it up, noop” doesn’t make it one cent less competition-breaking.
When you use a fake server, then everybody else have to do the same, before we can talk about fair competition again.
It’s exactly the same with main menu hijacking. Where will it end? Don’t ****ing do it. “It’s as simple as that”.

I did said screenshot for 30/60.

More or less since you have to create new account to explain yourself, my offer is still open to you. U disable facade on your AXE server and I will disable on my Euro server. May be I should also start creating new accounts and start posting in favor of 2.6b but I don’t have time to create new accounts.

When you join redirect server it clearly shows PB is enabled or NOT. It clearly shows on loading screen PB is disabled. The reason 2.6b facades show PB is on cos gs.com doesn’t allow facades so I have to run facades on different IP.

I believe I am going to go with same route like yours. Enable 40 bots on server and then redirect. Then it will show 40 bots on server i.e. no fake but end result would be same facade redirect.

I wonder what would happen to one clan with one server PB on and another PB off. When PB on server is full players would be redirected to PB off server then may be they are fakers too.

This topic will go on… I am no different then others… I can’t run facades on gs.com so i have to run it on different and hence different name/ping cos it doesn’t run on same machine.

Once 2.55 admins stop running this redirects on 2.6b, I will stop till then don’t expect me to stop. Why should I stop? I am not complaining… u few jealous peeps are…

lol, i woudnt bother creating 2nd account xD, please contact SD and you will see that IP’s doesnt match, probably not even country’s…so please.

and sorry cuz i was first time working on silent mod so I didnt kno how to setup custom commands, some people do some other expect playing games.

And when are you going to understand, we are here not discussing servers showed in 2.55/2.6b list, cuz 90% of servers are on that way, we are here talking about fake servers which you are hosting and which you got like 10 which are again redirecting to sum of ur FA servers, server with 99 players and such, all redirecting to FA servers, this is here being discuss so please stay on subject.

dont see how that would help? Would u just keep ur redirect on 2.6 list and players would be redirected to ur 2.55 server?

its good that server can accept both versions and the reason i got a redirect on 2.6 is just for my players to easy connect. But from a little poll on our players most of them use the ip as we most got long time regulars. Today the redirect is a fake in terms of ping and player count put will change that to have a true facade that will show the acctual count. Just need to find the time.

But as hellreturn says if there loads of fake servers every one will do the same.

When you are going to understand that I run 10-12 servers on 2.55 so for each server i can have redirect and as said previously tons of time gs.com doesn’t offer facades so i have to run on different machine.

I don’t take any guarantee if some xyz clan steals my server name and redirect to their server or mine just to show i am doing it. Few admins have clearly stolen my server names and I don’t give **** for it cos I can’t do anything about it. I don’t have time to deal with this crap admins.

I am asking to stop all facades/redirects on your server and then complain about mine? Is that really hard to understand? I am not going to repeat things again and again.

Dude man up… u want to put all bots to spec and hence u asked for that specific custom command and I helped u as far as I could.

I am done dealing with hypocrite admins who run redirects for their server and when I do same, I am different then them.

i asked for that command so i can easlly put bots spec when there is 6-7 ppl on server,

you got 7-8 fake server name like NO DOWNLOAD FREE ADRE, which are leading to 1 same server. that’s it.
