What about all the other small communities without a server facade at all. I can understand the server facades that display you server on the other version of ET, but the name stealing and displaying the wrong amount of players online is wrong.

No one is afraid of my clan… except you cheater private bot user! We try our best that cheaters don’t enter our servers. Our private ban list is also available to other clans like 555, Team Muppet, etc. But yes you should be afraid of EVERY clan who bans cheaters. Stop lying and bitching on me when you are running out of your lies.

I think these servers with this fake stuffs should be permanently removed from the masterlist also the servers the ppls got redirected too.
Its a shame people use that to get players.

But fact is that we have a problem, and I mean all of us.

We could start screaming at eachother and whine a lot, or we could try and figure out what to do to fix this.

Fact is that more or less every one here complains about redirect servers, which shows the 2.55+ servers on the 2.60b serverlist, idc if some uses them to spam the serverlist or some used 2 minutes of codeskills, to make it say a different name or use bots as ppl with ping etc etc

Basic problem is the fact that we are running ET in different versions. face it

if we all ran ET in same version 90% of the facades where gone.

Simple solution Kill the serverlist from 1 of the versions, i would prefer it was 2.55 that got abandoned as i like the occasionally game of etpro or newest NQ.

for the record imo F|A is not more and not less than any other clan in ET imho, so what if their servers are populated a bit more, idc tbh
im not a fanboi, never played there, never will, just think we should move pass this petty argument and start looking at what the problem really is

Had nothing todo with facades or the use of them mate

had more todo with the fact that i can see remarks on how big F|A are and that some think they so big they can dictacte how its ment to be

They are imo a clan like all others no more no less, idc for amount of members, server etc etc

I could easily have the same amount of et servers as they have but why should i. i built et servers for fun, and if someone uses them im happy. if not, well then im happy i made it work anyway

You build a server, and if it is popular and if needed you build a second (Something that my previous clan seems to not understand), maybe use the 2.55 facade to have people from both versions and so more chances to get people… But they use facade to be always on top, and I’m wondering which place they would have without that stuff…

Do you think using facade will always keep your server popular? With facade it ‘always’ gives players option, do you want to get redirect and if player selects “No”, facade is of no use at all.

I like when few admins here compare us with them with half baked things… It’s going off topic but I don’t understand few things:

  1. How many clans here actually use Facebook ‘paid advertising’ or Google ad sense to promote their community? I am sure 99% don’t.

  2. I have seen many clans using things like auto promotion admin LUA aka promote or give XP based on admin. Do you think it’s good for long run? Clan ends up having immature admins…It will work for small duration but it doesn’t in long run.

  3. Some server admins just don’t care for cheaters. They don’t ban them to have that one player but soon other players realize that cheaters are always welcome here and players start leaving. We have one admin in this topic who himself uses ETBot and then complains why his server is empty… why would someone play on cheaters servers? As as a player yourself, would you? I wouldn’t and same goes for other players.

  4. How many clan here uses commercial forums? I mean give some good place to talk around? Most of them use free hosting where they end up with tons of add banners or forums going down every now and then and tons of other issue.

There is no facades in COD4. Do you really think facade help to make my COD4 server popular?

  1. How many clans here provide servers at various location? We have servers on Chicago, Dallas, Germany, France and NewYork. and members choose where they want to play.

  2. Point to understand… How many clans here use name “NoDownload” in their server name but still make players download menus, pk3s, etc? At one point u are saying “NoDownload” and still making players to download pk3s? Isn’t that wrong too?

I could go on … but I will make it short… nice server environment, good forums and members and non cheat environment makes server popular.

There where no facades or multi patch servers in 2007-09 or 2010 but even that time my servers where popular. 20$ game server with free website hosting doesn’t make server popular in one month. I wonder where others clan would be if they would spend money in paid advertising on popular social networks, run commercial forums and cheat free game server, wouldn’t promote admins based on XP, etc etc.

My post is in general and I am just participating in discussion and nothing else. I could care less what others are doing and what they don’t and what cheaters have to say about us.

Some people here are like thief’s… and complaining about cops not doing anything… Well being a thief you (in general) lost right to complain about same things. Now this is just metaphor, I hope someone doesn’t take it in literal sense and comes down quoting me that we are not thief’s or I would have nothing to say :slight_smile:

All i wish is like patriot, one day i hope SD/ID decides to put 2.55 master list to end and then no more issue since all will be on 2.6b.
