Righty… if it aint all that obvious from the topic… basically, I want you. Or at least, your demos.

Recently undergone work of 2 maps for ET, one being a standard single map and the other a kinda trickish/jumpish map, following the idea of Wil’s rocket/soldier map (NowJump1 or smt) used in the old SD Q3F competition only it will require a bit more skill as more than one class will be used. To compliment this new work underway i’ve begun work on a new, more decent, personal webby and an ET movie. Now, its nice to have all my Savage Games, CB Games and any other clan games ive played in ET since day one of the final release… the problem? How boring would it be watching the same person play over and over when you can see different peoples play style, tricks, aims, jumps and… the comedy (Salteh dancing? :x).

So im asking yourselfs, anyone who has played on be it, the regular mentioned servers (ETPro or ETMain only, please state tho) from .eu/.uk and .us (Reason because I cba with having to a/ Mess with Shrub, b/ Mess with different configs, c/ Have a nice thing being done (5 kill rapage with a single smg round) to a bunch of noobs who are just standing there. Im sure you know what these servers are for yourselfs, or trail through past posts finding ones mentioned… (Normally clannies Sig servers, SD server, Efter, ABS, EFG, L2, 2X, whatever else).

So now you know what im looking for… how do I send it?

For starters NO emailing of demos will be accepted, so dont do it. A temp webspace a/c will be setup when I get home and details pasted here for you all and the only main way of a deffo is IRC. Im not writing a tut for mIRC so if you dont know how to use it, go find out… what you can do tho is…

My nick on IRC will be pgh or some sort… dont send here. Instead, use/find pgh/demos and send a DCC, all incoming files are scanned upon receiving so wouldnt bother with any funny business dito goes to the FTP. Also, please follow this quick sending rule…

Times of the action! (A MUST) 12:54 - killing spree :> for example.
Reply address/who from… and pref a clan homepage/irc channel. (Credits)
3rd party map? PLEASE STATE.

All creds will be due and any suggestions welcome. Suggestions for the tunes to be used are welcome too, tho providing there legal, feel free to send them with the zips (no more than one tune tho… and .mp3/.ogg only). Think thats it all covered… cant say a release date will be set or anything, progress will be updated though and questions to here please or irc.

And if you’ve got this far, you have far too much time… especially cos the post was by me… \o/ \o/ \o/

You can use my demos from this thread. But if you want ill .rar them, add details etc etc. I’m currently working on a jump that i havent seen before. It looks easy in theory, but it’s bloody hard. I’ll try and get it done quicksmart and sent off.

Well anyway, works underway and so far so good…

Downloaded a few flicks from swertcw (DSkys movie and ET_War) and already started to rip and create… started work creating the Intro and mixing some of the Tunes together (Why have a few tunes, when you can several in one :D) and in the process of trying to find a decent config… if anyone has a uber uber high quality one that looks superb in 640x480 or 800x600 (no more) than please mail me @ pgh@earthquakers.org . Creds will be giving like anything else…

Meh Maps still sitting incomplete… alongside a Powerball map and a regular ET map.

Movie on the other hands went all ways. Got all me Savage season 1 and 2 demos through and ripped but from then theres abouts 5 months of CB and Scrimm footage. Ive lost nearly ALL my demos from time @ LSR which sucked as it was like 70% of me decent ET stuff and aint had anything to fancy since me time at sSs which has actually made me move the movie on to sSs over my stuff/lsr as we have more team action…

Doubt it now. The idea was to have a nice movie full of stuff from the Regulars here and from SD server. It didnt happen so it aint gonna. Just gonna stick with making the sSs one now…

Not so much as having the right stuff its the fact that the SD Server went downhill very quickly and the quality of games hit 0. Lost interest in the ‘fun’ side of ET because of it and stopped playing there and just stuck to my odd bio/efter game and quickly got hooked…

As much as im sure the SD movie would’ve been funnier etc I just dont think any of its worthwhile to others to watch bar the regs which also dropped off quickly as the server did. Whereas the clan stuff is far more action’y and less ‘haha’ except from the usual team wipe outs, self team wipe outs (cheers Dante (lsr) and Andy (sSs)) and comedy wtf did that gren kill you. :]

I dont even bother playing on SD anymore kthx. (Tho the Radar fun with Salteh heh.)

One thing that I always noticed and what somewhat pissed me off was the fact these ‘regs’ of which I was one at some point all acted ‘funny harhar’ if they knew who it was and would never have a problem with anyone doing there own thing tho as soon as someone with a nick they dont recognise do summit or own them all it was is whinge whinge whinge. Its the typical nightclub scenario where there excuse is ‘fo if ur not a regular’ even tho it could be the clubs first night open.

The fact its still etmain is hilarious too… ET would be dead if it wasn’t for what Bani has did to this day… it’d be same situation as RTCW with only shrub servers running and 2/3 osp servers for teh pr0gam0rs.

There’s me thinking in your post you were telling everyone what has happened to the SD server. Never mind letting people make up their own minds if the great piggy says SD is dead then it must be true.

As for the regulars whinging … cough …bullshit. The majority of regulars go out of their way to promote teamplay and don’t gang up on non-regulars. The exception of course is you who always went out of his way to whine , flame etc and generally wind people up.

And lastly - etmain …thank god some servers are still running it. Personally I find no enjoyment from a turbocharged truck, silly basketball noises when dropping mines, stupid Mortal Kombat style ‘Fight’ announcers and all the other tweaks. I thought etpro was good the first few releases but the latest version sucks.

The fact that you don’t visit SD anymore is one more reason for me to continue playing there.
