Thank you SD, for killing DB in Russia and CIS.

In the russian version there is a Field Ops with insta superhealthregen that is called “Command”, so you can team up with the supersoldier and rape the whole server with 2 persons… With Command & Conker muhahahahahaha. I know it was bad

Russian Version is also made with the Id Tech Engine, so you got strafe jumping and crazy movement  AND … THERE IS PRONE !!!
SD has been introducing players into the alpha very selectively to make sure all content keeps as secret as possible. And now you give a company the permission to give out keys for free to random people. I can’t quite understand your thinking process in the assumption all rumors are true.

Ah well, I’m curious to see what the effects will be in the long term. I hope they stick to the terms and conditions for the sake of this game.
This is really disturbing …

love it ! : p

As far i know, cod kids, on ru forums, don’t care too much about NDA, they even use random pic hostings for screenshot posting…soon DB closed alpha fragmovies will be on youtube

(badman) #51

First off, sorry for the delayed reply on this. Let me try and address a few of the concerns that have been raised:

Destiny will be operating Dirty Bomb in Russia and CIS. They have a proven track-record of operating free-to-play titles in that region, whereas we don’t, and they have a handle on the local needs and wants. The main goal of Destiny’s alpha is to test their back-end systems and make sure that Dirty Bomb’s integration with them works correctly. Their test is not a free for all – there are limited slots, there’s no guarantee of admission. Our international alpha will continue to be the place where new features and content are let loose as you guys and girls keep shaping the game.

We are also aware of the dangers of completely separating Russian players, especially on the competitive side. We’re hoping to address this, though we don’t yet have any details to share on that.

The contents of any existing Founder’s Packs will carry over to Destiny, so you won’t lose any of the in-game items or your status. Any Russian members of the Founder’s Club are also able to play in the alpha test of the Russian version straight away if they like, though we don’t support having two versions of the game installed simultaneously. You can also keep playing in the international Alpha if that’s what you prefer.

Finally, we’ll be sending a few hundred more invites for our international Closed Alpha over the next couple of days, so you’ll have plenty of additional voices/fresh meat.

If you have any other questions about the Destiny deal, please post them up and we’ll get those answered.

(Wezelkrozum) #52

Thank you for clearing things up!

(Volcano) #53

shouldn’t the game be similar if not the same as what we are playing, nerd said that they are using a different engine and have prone

(MrFunkyFunk) #54

Thank you for the reply badman, better later than never.

Overall I’m really happy more people will join us very soon, do the invites go to the 60$ & below packs? Can you detail that action a bit and who will get them?

In my case I was kinda disappointed that there was no word of the existence of the russian alpha, we had to fish for stuff blind.
And overall it felt more like a free demo of a wip game for them while here we had to pay to get a chance to shape that game (and like some devs said not so long ago, currently our feedback has been taken into account but didn’t have as much as an impact as some hoped for).

Also: what about the release period they suggested on their website? Is that your goal?

And still hoping for that promised thread some time ago (“very soon”) that was supposed to detail what was about to change in the test and how communication was going to be improved. (ie: this thread)

When will we get clear information about availability of international servers for russian players?
Because if they won’t be available to play for us, I can stop playing right now… :frowning:

(badman) #56

He was having a little fun at your expense, I’m afraid.

We’re looking to get some of the Elite guys in for this round, yes.

That’s understandable. An official announcement on Destiny is forthcoming.

As I said, no details as yet. As soon as we know, you’ll know.

(Ashog) #57

LOL, Volcano

Please invite Khamul, he is VERY elite

Also having eastern Yurop separated after release is a very bad thing. Sad, sad…

Unless you wanna half-full Euro servers, of course (compare population).

I feel motivated once again! Woo!

More draft games, casts and cups incoming to introdue these new people into the alpha guys

(Mustang) #59

They have a slightly different build number (21563c instead of our 21216) and an extra logo (for Destiny) but other than that it is essentially the same.

I was slightly concerned at their lack of NDA though.

As far as I understand it they are all under NDA, but will double-check that is being enforced. They should not be distributing screenshots, video or streaming.
