I’m not sure that region separation will work well in Dirty Bomb. Yes it’s a very needful thing for a MMORPG (after all you need to talk a lot there), but for other games? If you remember Russian region in Starcraft 2 failed and Blizzard was forced to unite EU and RUS regions for proper work of match system. And we talking about SC 2, it’s an AAA project with a huge player base. SD, are you sure that Russian DB will not become a wasteland in a few months after release? There are tons of F2P shooters, and we can all agree that DB is not an AAA project.

If I get it right, region separation is aimed for a different price in different regions. Russian players will not buy things for EU price, and EU players will not be happy if Russian players will get same things as they, but for a much cheaper price. Other reasons?

But ok, let’s face it, we already have a Russian region, it’s a fact. Will I play there? No. My clan leader lives and work in UK, and I always prefer EU region in Blizzard games. And here comes another big question, how SD gona force people stay in their regions? IP restrictions? I already heard about person from Germany, who was unable log in Russian version. All I Can ask from SD – Please leave EU version of DB free from any IP restrictions, let people like me play with their friends from EU. After all EU prices never cheaper, more money for you.
