the same its impossible. after you kill an enemy and get a uniform you just afraid they will kill you(your teammate).
yesterday i saw an allied covertops taking a uniform right in front of an ally, only to be killed once he was disguised⦠was quite sad.
tell me about it, how annying is it when it happens i mean isnāt the big red circle with a cross in it a slight clue ???
Well, depends, if Iām a PF, see an enemy I start fireing up my rocket and swing the cursor over the enemy. If in the last possible moment the ādonāt shootā comes up there is liturally nothin I could do to stop the rocket from splashing your guts all over the place as the time for fancy maneuvers is simply not there.
I even had CovOps complaining in this situation even after I was spamming SORRY like mad
Simple rule: as soon as you are disguised run away from your team and seek the enemy team!
I think SD should just implement quake3/sof2 solution and draw a triangle/circle or whatever on the teammates head.
That way thereās no excuses for TKing covertop or TKing in general.
i like the n00bs that sit there⦠look at you for a second⦠then mow you down even though the huge circle and slash are there⦠:banghead:
Yes I have seen it to. But if own Panzer noob kills me, I will complain every time.
yeh put a giant triangle thing on ur team mates
or when aiming at a team mate cover the screen with big writing saying
DON"T KILL U IDIOT!
i hate n00bs :banghead: :bash: :banghead: :bash: :banghead: :bash:
I actually always play as a CoverOps and even so I sometimes manage to shoot at disguised team member⦠The thing is to stop as soon as the red mark comes up, but it takes time. This even pisses me off quite much when I get killed when disguisedā¦
But one thing is these players who just bloody shoots everything that moves! For example last night I was playing a very nice game, but there was this one player that just had slightly too trigger happy fingers. For example at Oasis map where there is quite narrow corridors, everytime you saw that player he would burst some bullets at you⦠even if you werenāt disguisedā¦
Well, as I said, itās especially hard for PF to avoid the kill, all you see is an enemy so you fire up your rocket. When I finally see the DontShoot itās already to late.
Oh wait, or do you seriously suggest that I first aim at every enemy to check wheteher its on of us before I start initiating my PF ?? Than I would be dead meat if I was against a real enemy.
If you complain (unless it was _really_obvious that the other player should have known that you are a CovOps in isguise) you are the n00b, not the one with the PF.
Stay away from your team, thatās it!

Actually I would expect that. Surely youāre not simply standing out in the open with the panzer exploiting its superior power? How about trying to spot the enemy before they see you, then it wouldnāt be an issue. Or perhaps donāt use Panzer for 1v1 fighting. From what youāve written in the forum I donāt think youāre a bad player, so it surprises me that youād make such an argument.
If you carry a heavy weapon you also have a greater responsibility to watch your fire, especially with the panzer as it will always kill the target. Same goes for airstrikes/arillery, yeah, accidents happen, but habitually firing without identifying your target or ensuring itās safe to fire will really tick your team off, and rack up complaintsā¦
Well, lets see, what are the chances that an enemy running around the corner is in fact (on a 16Pl. server, with 1-2 CovOps in my team) an enemy or a friendly disguised CovOps ?If counting that our CovOps have to find a uniform first Iād say 10:1 thats it is in fact an enemy.
Now, for checking out the enemies first, if Iām in an ambush position i usually lean around the corner == no crosshair == no way to identify friendly CovOps. Than I fire up a rocket and step aside in the last possible moment to fire at the enemy. If I see a DontShoot at that moment⦠to late.
If I run around the level and all of a sudden encounter an enemy I donāt take the time to first target him with my crosshair, I fire up my rocket and while itās initiating I align my crosshair with his body. If the DontShoot comes up there is very little I can do, sometimes I manage to quickly change the direction but often that time is missing.
Well, how should I avoid it ?? If I see you at a long distance itās usually no problem to identify a CovOps but in many other combat situations itās not.
Thatās why I repeat: as long as you are disguised your team is your enemy ! Somebody shoots at you the instant he sees you is normal, because hell you look like one of the baddies! If you play CovOps thats one of the risks that comes with the job. If everybody would take the extra second or two to first check out the enemy the whole team would be a lot more dead than alive !
Let me repeat it in huge letters:
Disguised CovOps, stay away from your team and hang around with the enemy!
And soldiers often lead target, so they donāt see the sign that says not to shoot. I know I have killed many CovOps while leading a target.
But it wasnāt that of a loss, in a 10v10, 1Soldier (me),1 Eng, 1Med, 7 covOps
COVOPS IS NOT THE ONLY CLASS THAT EXISTS.

Exactly. And as a Panzer Noob I do mean the people who use it 1vs1 situation. Especially Kamikaze Panzer fall to this calss. If itās a clear accident, and I will hear āsorryā I might drop the complaint.
If u go covert, uāll take the risk of being shot by your own team. Most of TKās are unintentional anyway, so DISABLE the annoying complaint popup from your options.
No 1 likes of whining team matesā¦

There is something u could do If u bothered making the effort If u quickly lean left or right once u pressed the fire button it will stop the Pf from firing. Itās not hard If u donāt have a key bound to lean left/right just press activate and move left/righ buttons.
Itās better than making the Cov Opās responsible for your lack of effort.
Maybe he shoots CovertOps for fun, and the whines when they complain. We are talking about noobs here. Someone has shot entire clip at me, while im trying to dodge and scream āIm CovertOps!ā. When they guy actually manages to kill me, there isnāt even āSorryā. Another good type of noobs are the ones that see you change clothes and then kill you. But usually if there is āsorryā I will drop the complaint.
