Stat Tracking
waiting for the team-mate to finish a fight (by dying) and then coming in as a medic is a viable tactic, the opposing player will most likely have little health and if u revive ur team mate first then attack itll be 2 on 1. The K/D ratio is jst a bonus. But all players have their on styles, and thats what a MP game is all about.

Does anyone know if there will be end game stats (like in ETQW) which show best XP per class and possibly kills?
The best tactic is to crossfire the enemy and not w8 for your teamate to die.Reason:As a medic you have to equip the revive tool which then makes u vunlerable to the enemy. The only reason to w8 for him to die is only when u are 2-3 metres behind your mate firing and you dont have good visual of the enemy.

medics toss revive syringes, they don’t need to be seen

(MrX) #63

Yes i know the previous post was more of a general tactic:> In brink medic is too important to be played agressively and that is how it should be imo.Its a support class and the syringe system works great for that:)

(Cankor) #64

No you don’t, you point your crosshair at him and hit the use key, and he’s tossed a syringe and almost instantly your gun is back in your hand. One button click instead of three (equip syringe, toss, re-equip gun)

You’re still right, but not for that reason. A really good player with 25% health can often take down a medium skilled player with full health, especially if he has a ping advantage. You’re generally always better off crossfiring on him so he has to decide who to concentrate on, you’re both inflicting damage on him simultaenously while he’s only inflicting it on one of you at a time. So one of you can get that extra 25% health whithout getting shot at. Just so long as he doesn’t trick you into shooting each other

thats also another senario though.i think brink is utilizing medic class very well with the syringe implementation

(Herandar) #66

How do you guys know how the medic plays in Brink, exactly? I don’t think there has been any footage of anyone playing medic released yet.

(MrX) #67

Nobody knows how the medic plays.I was talking only about the syringe and the ability to toss it and not equip it like in other games.I think that it is a very cool feature for the medic .

(DarkangelUK) #68

I played the medic, it was quite similar to W:ET but more supportive rather than Rambo.

(Cankor) #69

Sure there has, there was the one where Ham was narrating as the dev guy (forget his name) played through. He was a medic for the second half of the video.

Back to stats…
What about making the only global stat win/loss ratio?
Wouldn’t this work?

(MrX) #71

Stas about objective loss/won matches, about which class user most played and how many xp he got and how many times he achieved a certain objective are good imo. Also revives and a team score overall would be nice

(Herandar) #72

Jolly! Turn around. Jolly! Go get him!
What about making the only global stat win/loss ratio?

Theoretically that would encourage people to switch teams mid-match any time they are losing.

Lol.

Yeah i guess you’re right. Although in pub games it is almost always the team that has more players that is winning.

They could implement a system where if you switch teams in a game it does not affect your win/loss ratio

(trigg3r) #74

lol, i actually thought Jolly was narrating and for some reason he was speaking in 3rd person

(Nail) #75

I wouldn’t mind a rounds fired, rounds hit stat as the only one, no k/d, just fired over hits

(Cankor) #76

You mean accuracy

(crazyfoolish) #77

Again don’t you think that this would encourage those occasional whorish snipers going for 100% accuracy?

Perhaps they would not be attracted to Brink in the first place.

(Nail) #78

almost, but suppresive fire is helpful even if it doesn’t hit. For accuracy, you’d want it broken down by weapon. Either way, end of round stat, not global

not too worried, if it shows 100% with 2 rounds fired all game, not too many bragging points there
