SS - Doomtrooper (Wolfenstein based movie on Sci-Fi channel)

(Northerner) #1

For the past week i have been seeing commercials about a movie called
‘SS Doomtrooper’ to be aired on the Sci-Fi channel Saturday, April 1 @ 9/8c

this is a Sci-Fi original movie and from what i can tell this movie has a very
strong similarity to Wolfenstein

i hope everyone has a chance to check it out and that it is a big hit and does
RTCW the justice it deserves.

im not saying this is a Wolfenstein movie but from the commercials it has a lot of
similarities such as the axis creating a man made super solder and the allies having
to destroy it.

for more info, please check your local listings and the Sci-Fi website

April’s fool?

Just a cheap rip. I hope ID is at least getting paid for it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Those “SciFi Originals” are so crappy.

thanks for the hint. are there trailers? i haven’t found any.

i knew there would be some non believers

Hang on, it might be true. I just got an email from Nigeria and let me assure you that wonders seem to happen even the smallest man. (I cannot tell you more but I will get rich.) So, why could this amazing movie not be coming soon!?
I must ask my contact in Nigera about movie tickets. He has previously helped me with gaming issues. (He helped me pay for ET, for example.)

Ha ha good effort mate, but as spoofeh say, he is the master of the spoof’s

When I checked scifi.com earlier it wasn’t even in the schedule, and with no other info about it (nothing on scifi.com or on imdb) than the image you posted on April 1st I had my suspicions.

They’ve updated the scedule now though, and googling shows that it’s not a joke (at least it didn’t start today  ), so I’m a believer now.

Unfortunately there’s no way for me to get SciFi channel though. :frowning:

(Northerner) #12

why would i try and spoof you guys?

this is not an april fools joke!

i just wanted everyone to be aware of the movie cause hopefully it will be a good one!

(Gringo) #13

Ha ha, april fools. I was just trying to pretend that it was one to…ah fek it!

We all cynical buggers!

(bani) #14

i thought corin nemec was great in SG1

(Joe999) #15

indeed. and imo they should have kicked out richard dean anderson instead of him. now they kicked him out anyway. finally.

That April Fool’s Day “prank” is on Sci-Fi right now…

(Northerner) #17

well, the movie is just got over and im not real impressed. LOTS of bad acting and the monster is real cartoonish. but still, the idea of the show is cool and matches what RTCW is all about.
if they just had a bigger budget then the special effects would have been better. they should have gotten ahold of the dudes that made King Kong! lol

Oh, come on, there’s nothing better than watching cheap goofy Sci-Fi movies on Friday and Saturday night.
You gotta feel happy for these actors who get to spend a few months in Europe meeting nice ladies and drinking good beer while filming this stuff.

But, let’s see, I’ve noticed a Panzer, MG, Flamethrower, Sten, MP40, Thompson and 9mm Colt (Single and Akimbo). There was also some cool sniper throat slashing, and a cool sniper-gets-shot-through-the-eye shot.
I loved the part where they’re using straw bales for cover.
It was no masterpiece, but it was a pretty fun flick to watch.

Possibly the closest thing to heresy I’ve ever read on this forum… :eek3:

No sign of SS - Doomtrooper being shown in the UK that I could see - the US SciFi channel is way better than the UK version.

just download it if it exists.
