Hey, they got some great and innovative ideas for their multiplayer part wich I’ve so far never seen done in a game before 
A ranking system will be included that will essentially let you level up throughout a multiplayer match based on your performance, and each increase in rank will confer a new bonus. First, you’ll gain a greater number of grenades; second, you’ll be granted a pair of binoculars so you can keep an eye on the enemy; and third, you’ll be able to use these binoculars to call in artillery strikes from afar. These ranks will be reset when you quit the game, but it will apparently be fairly quick to ascend the ranks again in a new game.

Well I think the original RtCW gametype should be present as an option - perhaps in a ‘classic’ mode. Then the modern XP based version - that way ppl have the choice.
Too much choice is a bad thing.
Bring back the Kinky SS women soilders, i wanna here them heals clip together in full 5.1 Dolby surround.
Looks like Doom 3 handle outdoors fairly well, especially considering that the following is just a test map:

first of all the engine can be tweeked, annd i know its obvious but RTCW2 might not be on the D3 engine, probably is but its not cirtain yet
i’m wondering if rtcw2 will be purely an MP game, like q3 was, with a simple SP “kill the bots” mode to practice in. because let’s remember, the last we saw of B.J. he was enjoying a little “R & R”, which for him meant kicking more nazi ass. but, since heinrich is dead there’s not much more story to tell, unless they focus on a historical storyline rather than paranormal. for my money, that would be great. to be honest the zombies were just a silly annoyance for me. i much more enjoyed the realistic parts where i got to kill nazis 
i think we left B.J. in about 1943. perhaps the story could take it from there through the end of the war, but with a bit of poetic license to allow B.J. to kill hitler like he did in wolfenstein 3d

RTCW2 will at the very least have to have a “kill the bots” SP mode, cos they couldn’t sell it otherwise, but personally I think it would have to be a follow-on “paranormal” type storyline cos that’s what the Wolfenstein franchise is all about. Most people here may only be interested in the MP part, but it’s the SP that sells the game to the masses. I just hope they don’t go the “realism” road ala MOH:AA / COD cos Wolfy’s appeal and indeed it’s success, IMO, has always been it’s fast-paced “arcade” style action.
How about if Activision were to sell RtCW2 with only an MP game and no SP support at all along with a rubber duck? You’re actually paying for the duck and you get the MP game as a free gift?!

So long as the ROF is restored, no silly voices, better audio for the weapons, easter eggs including the full original game of Wolf3D, unlockable secrets in the game so secret areas become available in previous levels, the ability to ‘roll’ like the Elite Guard could be handy, especially in MP - oh yeah- can we have more girls in RtCW2? Those smoke grenades from ET should be kept but enhanced so that when they are intially released they cause your screen to wobble and shake as if you’d been poisoned by a Med RtCW shrub style. Lvl3 Cov Ops should be able to pick locks with 50% success rate (too mcuh Deus Ex?).
Those crypt levels in RtCW really affected me the first few times I played it through and although ‘kicking Nazi butt’ was fun there’s more scope with those undead things in the game - I remember my first encounter with a ‘loper’ as well - keep that stuff in 'cause it produced moments of genuine fear in me at least.
Akimbo with two handed weapons would be interesting, even if it’s only available on a single SP level (think of the tank section in RtCW where you get to use akimbo pistols).
ROF was never altered in rtcw, so no worries there. i doubt ET will be considered as a stepping stone of the franchise, since it’s SP was never released. so ET is more of a side branch, but not an evolutional step.

as for the girls, i actually found myself taking a moment to run my eyes up and down those beautiful corpses more than once

as for covops, again, not really part of the ET story. i’d rather the MP for rtcw2 be more or less the same as it is in the original. counterstrike-source (the new cs on the hl2 engine) is almost an exact clone of the original, because they realized cs is an institution. well i feel the same about rtcw. i love ET but the fact is that it’s really just a “mod” and shouldn’t be considered in the planning of rtcw2 (sorry SD, i still love you tho :D)
actually i must confess the zombies scared me too, but i still was annoyed by them and looked forward to more nazis. anyway like i said, Heinrich is dead and Himmler went back to face Hitler in shame at the end of the game, having failed in that grand scheme. so whats next? the only thing i can think of would be a true retelling of wolf 3d, with Hitler cyborgs and ghosts, lol. that would be cool on the doom 3 engine actually, i can picture it…
A re-telling of the original game is an excellent idea - maybe there could be a Doom2 easter egg level nested in there as well =)
ahh never thought about rof in rtcw2
I’m a et player before a rtcw player and I have only bought rtcw a month or two ago, personally I prefer the eT rof far more than rtcw 
The mp game is just harder - very aggresive map times, smaller maps, higher rof. It cracks me up tbh.
I was playing ET yesterday for the first time in about 3 weeks on Gold Rush. Axis Medic - straight out of spawn (lvl 1 med btw) out of the side entrance near the CP and through the alley to head off Allies at their spawn - kill a couple and move to the ammo and health stations nearer to the large gate that seperates Allies from their tank.
I was able to regen, drop a few packs around me hiding just behind the corner and basically headshot any and all comers via that route for about 15 minutes with occasional support from online buddies.
That scenario simply isn’t possible in RtCW mp on a non-n00b server.
btw - I keep getting an unpure error in one of the game x86 dll’s and haven’t investigated it properly yet. Anyone know anything about that? There are alot of servers out there now that insist on having me download et-pro 3.0.x everytime even though I’m sure I have it installed already as well.
