Splash Damage recruiting!

prolly Sierra Online or AOL
could have played Neverwinter Nights

The original Neverwinter Nights was the first Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (AD&D) Role Playing Game to go online (pay to play), hosted by America Online (AOL).

Situated at the City of Neverwinter Nights and more than 20 regions/area to visit, the game itself was similar to other Official AD&D Forgotten Realms games of its time, but as it was an online game, it had several additional menu’s for online purposes as well as unfamiliar features unknown to standard AD&D games, among others the ability to teleport from one region/area to another.

You are getting very cynical in your old age…

(Joe999) #83

yeah, that’s the age.

I’m currently a tester for a developer in the Midlands but am looking to move. I noticed the tester position advertised in the jobs section but it says only testers from London/Kent. I’m willing to relocate so could one of the Splashdamage guys let me know if an application would be considered in these circumstances? Would the salary on offer be enough to relocate? (or is it a Sega style per hour salary)

(Nail) #85

it’s there now

(EB) #86

Does it pay enough so I can fly back on weekends ?

…I’d be happy to bugger you guys enough during the week as so you wouldn’t miss me on the weekends. My passport is waiting on the dresser, just give the word. :stuck_out_tongue:

(jRAD) #87

I’m not sure “bugger” was the word you were looking for… :weird:

(Gringo) #88

Im almost certain it wasnt or at least hope it wasnt the word he was lookin for. Go wash ur mouth out EB!

(Bravo) #89

EB I suggest you look the word ‘bugger’ up in a dictionary. I feel sure you might edit your post after that

(Sauron|EFG) #90

Ouch!

(It’s probably correct that you wouldn’t miss him on the weekends though. )

How many ppl are there at SD now? (Is the Team Profile page up to date?)

(Loffy) #91

EB has simply evolved the English language a bit further by developing new meanings to old words. You are all so bicycle!

(ayatollah) #92

At least I’m not a Swede!

…Oh wait need to perfect this

(EB) #93

I DID NOT MEAN THAT…I RETRACT MY STATEMENT.

(iwound) #94

OOer!!

(EB) #95

(iwound) #96

(Gringo) #97

Me feels the crate of a new trend

(GlobalWar) #98

Testing is normally considered as a dreadfull job (at least at the company where i work) but for Quake Wars i am almost willing to take a long vacation in the London area

(ayatollah) #99

Yeah, I work in Microsoft and know a few guys who are testers for MGS, they were working on Ninety-Nine Nights and they said it was the worst job in the world. Only due to the fact that they are big gamers and the whole process ruins gaming for them. They get home and don’t even want to be looking at another game.

Their process involved going round every square inch of the game and walking into every wall, performing every move they can possibly do and recording every minute detail. It is the most monotonous work they have ever experienced.

But it wouldn’t be like that with SD, they’d have you making tea as well!

(kamikazee) #100

Sounds alot like the things I’m trying to debug the mod I’m working on. Only worse then, because of (the really needed) supervision.
