whats happen with previous one ?
eaten by SD/ZM management ?
its important question 4 anyone, wanted/interested in Subj, i guess.

p.s.
why not borrow some friendly help from ID software, like SD did in [not so old, i hope]ETQW times ?

(Breo) #3

Mb someone from IW want to apply?

(Dthy) #4

Wait a few year’s whilst i learn C++ and release a game

(Nail) #5

With Brink close to release, I wonder what type of game Splash Damage is considering/developing for their next release. I’d be interested in hearing what people thought of the vehicles in QW, I’d like them to do a flying combat game.

(brbrbr) #6

next time title should be something like “Splash dammage lead Programmer was subsegently eaten by zombies, during SD Roadshow in Haiti. we need ANOTHER ONE, please ! Heeeelp !!”

yep, and/or racing sim.
or meta-game, like i predict for future gamedev projects. which includes all genres “in box”.
cuz genres separations are artificial and made only 2 save modeys and easy promotion.
while both things solved by gameplay itself[social-driven vectoring/management], is there more loses from keeping old course, than income.

(Nail) #7

I’m not sure you could port “Calvin Ball” to any platform

(jRAD) #8

But it would certainly be fun to try!

This, anansi physics were awesome. With some improved netcode to get rid of noregs and the weird jumpyness when doing loops it’d be perfect and I would play it all day.

(brbrbr) #10

too many “quircks” and “dirty fixes” in engine. to hope[w/o reasons] to make it playable
instead of re-worked one[from scratch]. to exclude most nasty issues with netcode with vehicles-related, context[&majority of rest].
thats why Id Tech5 was created. among other reasons.

I’d be up for some sort of air combat game based on Anansi physics.

(badman) #13

That question includes internships as well, yeah.

Hence the word ADDITIONAL, meaning they need another Lead Programmer on top of the one they have now.

(brbrbr) #17

which one would be More “leading” then ?
[groundless]statements usually not always matter of [blind]trust in HRM communcation area from both sides.
facts is matter, statements/PR is not. “talk is cheap. show me the code!” © Linus.

(Slade05) #18

Two projects mean two leads.

And that Torvalds quote is priceless in it`s worthlessness. When is the year of linux desktop again?

(GlobalWar) #19

I did pwn in coding COBOL…

(Nail) #20

3 platforms likely means 3 leads
