Oh yeah, everyone that I know that bought this game traded it in after their first impression of it from Day 1…and it’s a damn shame, but hey, that’s neither here nor there, fact of the matter is, once this game is fixed, I too will play the hell out of this game and enjoy it, but the only problem is, from the time of now, until that it actually is fixed, a whole hell of a lot of people are falling away from this game, and it’s a damn shame…

But hey, I don’t need a million and one other people on BRINK for me to play it to death and love the time I wasted on it, as long as this game is fixed and polished while it’s still in my possession, I’m a relatively happy customer…

Troll-haiku? It’s feedback. The OP asked whether the game was as bad as people say and I explained why some people dislike it and the main reasons why.

Trolling = making a post with the sole desire to cause emotional upheaval.

You, and others, have missed the point of this thread. The title gives it the focus: SD might be able to fix Brink, but will it be able to grow into what it deserves to be if they do after they’ve alienated so many?

A few differences between BC2 and Brink’s release:

BC2 was a winner across the review board, Brink was split.

BC2 annoyed people, but didn’t alienate them in the same way Brink did.

Brink has time to catch up. Let’s hope the community can rebuild itself when it does.

I for one appreciate the op. I rallied my clan behind brink. We were all ready to move on from etqw, a game that kept us up all night every night during its launch week, month, year.

The bad of brink just pulls down the good so much many of us can’t be bothered to play it right now. The bad has been pointed out enough already here in these forums and I will leave SD to work on that.

After reading the first 2 pages it seems to me your the one coming off like a “nasty little person”. Your kinda playing devil’s advocate to everything everyone says.

Your disappointed in the game…great…stop being such a bitch and suck it up. If your that annoyed or tired or whatever with this game, then sell it or give it to a charity, otherwise stop complaining.

You act as though you are representitive of SD’s loyal fan base, but your not, your just another person who fell for the hype. Thats YOUR fault, yes you can blame SD, but you choose to buy the game without trying it, or listening to reviews, or many of the other ways to learn about the game.

I started out pissed at this game but SD seems like they are working hard to get patches out and are giving us free dlc. Thats more than a lot of other comapnies do. Now i can honestly say i am willing to give SD a chance to redeem themelves. Plus i LOVE Brink. You say you like Brink a lot but i think your trying to convince yourself.

Seriously my enthusiasm for Brink faded away rather to quickly. I really waited for SD to have another glorious go at the objective gameplay after I truely enjoyed QW for nearly 1000 hours.

Sadly enough having played Brink now for 50 hours I can’t see that happen with their new product. I really was looking forward for being utterly addicted to Brink. I even purchased it at US launch date to play it earlier here in Europe. And I really enjoyed it at the start.

But maybe that was just my inner self who was hungry for the objective gameplay after I stopped playing QW years ago. Now after the first hype has vanished I truely think that Brink is in lots of ways inferior to QW and dare I say it: I guess it always will be. I could mention all the reasons why I think so, but that has been done in different threads already.

I really hope that SD will eventually fix all the flaws in Brink. And I don’t mean the technical bugs but the gameplay decisions that prevent Brink from being a great game. But then again I don’t think that this will happen any time soon.
