Not even the head, even the back, or chest. Let’s be honest, what would be the point to use a shotgun that already has pathetic range if it doesn’t even one shot someone from a few feet away?
OR if you are that close: do the knockdown and shoot him, when downed, wherever you like.

i can be serious, because this is serious businessasaurus REX. views and discussions on the common goal of satisfaction and enlightened can only occur when that is the common interest of everyone in it. and that is simply not the case when you have people who want to have pub fun vs competitive fun. that will never happen.

and come on, just because i’m one individual from the apparent minority of competitive players does not make it my own interest. i bet you 100 Canadian Tire cash dollars that if they create a place where comp players can speak freely, there would be a lot more people with different views speaking. but it’s like placing Christians with Muslims and asking them to discuss how to get to god…

I’m not really for that analogy but I’d visit that forums because sometimes it’s nice to post where everyone shares pre-conceived ideas. In no way should that seem like segregation just a way to organize discussion. People who don’t care don’t need to visit. But I do agree it’s kind of premature for it’s own section now :).

Anyway, back to shotguns. However many hits it takes to kill someone with a shotgun, they do need to be the best weapons within their limited range. There would be no point in using a shotgun if you could kill someone just as quickly by emptying your SMG mag into them at close range.
They don’t have to be OHK cannons, basically, but they do need to able to compete with the other weapons. From the videos I’ve seen, however old that footage was, SD seems to have everything pretty much perfectly balanced. If there’s anything I’m not worried about being broken, it’s everything in Brink.

console players are just as elitist. The difference being, PC elitism is based off knowledge and/or superior hardware, console elitism is based off ignorance.
I must have missed it, because I haven’t once heard anything elitist from a console gamer. I’ve heard the ignorance, yeah, but I haven’t seen them talk down to the PC crowd saying they have the superior skills/hardware/whatever. “Oh look, he wants [insert thing here] nerfed/added/removed, he must be a PC player. That would explain why he wants whatever it is he wants.”
We get it, PC’s can hold more, do more, and have better graphics. But do you have to make snide comments about the McDonald’s crowd while you eat at the Olive Garden?

competition forums should always be at the official site, bigger audience for them. it’s where the clans list is, and there’s already a competition thread there
plus, I find most comp players annoying
