Revert double time please

(extraordinaryEmperor) #61

Do you even play the game? You always c0ck (why is this censored?) whenever you reload. Please actually read the reddit thread. He’s specifically replaying to this comment:
“In the video above you’ll see what I’m talking about. Basically how you can reload faster by skipping part of the reload animation.
Thanks for the quick response :)”

And reload cancelling in games typically mean animation cancelling.

(AnonOmis1000) #62

I did, but I’m still 90% sure there was some miscommunication there. What he’s talking about has never been a “staple” of any FPS intentionally.

(grandioseCutlet) #63

No they definitely don’t need to. I have no idea about this Double time augment, switching weapons to cancel reload doesn’t seem like a big deal for me but anyway if something really needs to be done then they need to revert the changes done to the augment, but they definitely don’t need to remove reload cancelling.

Removing it would slow down the pace of the game. If you wanna play a slower game you might as well just play CS:GO you know.

(AnonOmis1000) #64

It wouldn’t slow down the pace of the game by any significant amount. It’s literally like a second more. There’s no reason to revert the change to double time because it would make no sense. If you’re able to reload while sprinting, why would sprinting while in the middle of a reload cancel it?

(extraordinaryEmperor) #65

@AnonOmis1000 Because there’s a setting that clearly says “cancel reload on sprint”. If you don’t want it. Turn it off. I’ve said it in the last several posts. Revert the change and everyone is better off except the idiots who don’t even know what the settings is for.

(AnonOmis1000) #66

The point of that setting is so that a reload will not prevent you from sprinting, NOT to cancel a reload so that you can fire sooner. It’s the same thing with games that have settings where sprinting pulls you out of ADS

(grandioseCutlet) #67

Because if you want to run and reload you have to run first? It’s not like it’s so hard to do that.

(AnonOmis1000) #68

It’s also not that hard to quick switch in order to speed up a reload.

(extraordinaryEmperor) #69

It’s less hard to switch to a knife and run. You will get outdueled if you’re swapping rather than sprint cancelling. There’s more reason to swap to a knife and run than cancelling a reload to sprint

(AnonOmis1000) #70

Or how about I have the ability to reload while sprinting like the fucking augment description says?

(extraordinaryEmperor) #71

Which you can clearly achieve originally by turning reload cancel off, which is what it is doing now anyway. Your argument is based on the fact that you think it’s not an intended mechanic and that may be true, but it seems to be approved by a member of SD.

And the description clearly says “whilst” sprinting. So if you ARE sprinting, it will work, whereas the setting should take precedent since it’s “on” sprint. Wording is key and you don’t seem to understand it.

(grandioseCutlet) #72

Still a lot more annoying than running before reloading, which doesn’t require you to press any more keys than you should, and only applies to loadouts with Double time, which are a very small part of the game. Why would you want to change an entire mechanic just for such a small “problem” with an augment?

(AnonOmis1000) #73

So i have to go into settings each time I want to use a card with double time? Why do I have to go through the hastle and not you? Why don’t you just quick switch to cancel your reload.

(extraordinaryEmperor) #74

BECAUSE IT’S NOT THE BLOODY SAME, ARE YOU RETARDED? It’s much, much quicker to tap the sprint button and instantly shoot rather than hitting two buttons which then has a pull out delay, which almost negates the animation cancel.

You already have the mechanics to use your playstyle, I lose mine when an unwanted perk shows up on my loadout. Why have medics when everyone can revive and everyone can regen?

(AnonOmis1000) #75

Why should I have to change my settings depending on what augment I’m using? Why don’t YOU change your habits instead? Why don’t YOU conform instead of everyone bending to your wants?

(extraordinaryEmperor) #76

How about you deal with it if you want to conform. If they change it back, don’t complain, conform.

(grandioseCutlet) #77

Did I mention going into settings everytime you use a Double time card? I really don’t know where you got that from. I don’t even know why you would change your settings when you can just press shift before reloading in order to reload while sprinting.

And also “Why don’t you just quick switch to cancel your reload.” Because as I said before it would change an entire game mechanic just for a small “problem” on a barely used perk.

(grandioseCutlet) #78

Hmm maybe because you’re probably pretty much the only player in the game that wants to get rid of reload cancelling?

(AnonOmis1000) #79

How about you deal with it if you want to conform. If they change it back, don’t complain, conform. [/quote]

You’re the one who’s complaining. I have no problem with the way the system works. The change made sense. The augment says you are able to reload why sprinting. Why would starting a reload while walking THEN start sprinting cause the reload to stop?

(AnonOmis1000) #80

I don’t want a reload the cause me to get fucked over because it won’t let me sprint. So that means that any time I don’t use double time I have to turn on sprint cancelation. It wouldn’t change an entire mechanic of the fucking game. It changes how soon you can shoot by half of a fucking second.
