Regarding Windows 10

It just, it makes me angry. I mean I know it’s more the companies fault for even letting you knock the DPI up that far, but wow. 3600 is the highest DPI I’ve seen for a mouse that was jitter free, most mice can’t even get up to that. 8200, holy shit.

(Witchy) #82

Holy shit dude do you just not care if your mouse tracks properly? That is way past the safe zone for the sensor to accurately track. You must get so much skipping/jitter.[/quote]

Actually, I don’t my mouse is as smooth as silk, razer ourobourus. 8200 dpi and I can pinpoint a needle head with my vasilli. If you’re mouse skips, please turn off mouse acceleration and/or turn on raw input/windows direct imput

(Ghosthree3) #83

Oh don’t even start dude, I know more about mice than you ever will. I guarantee you get jitter, 110%, you’re probably just used to it.

Listen I won’t argue with you that mice don’t go that high or that you “know more” however this is offtopic from the windows 10 help fourm we can move elsewhere if needed. I will say this, I’ve recently started playing with 8200 I used to go t0 4000dpi for the longest time but dirty bomb forced me higher due to having to swing my smg around like crazy.

(Ghosthree3) #85

To end the off-topic discussion I will leave you with this then.

Here is a list of tried and tested mice with flawless sensors. If your mouse is listed, check the “Best DPI”, “DPI Range” and “Comment” sections.

Note that the “DPI Range” is what the mouse allows to be used, not the range in which there are no issues. FYI all the Razer mice listed recommend 1800 DPI as the best.

If you need to make your sensitivity higher use the in-game sensitivity option, do not throw the DPI up.

It says im missing “MSVCP100.dll” to start the game. DB seems to be the only game with this problem so far. Is there any way to recover/repair “MSVCP100.dll”? I dont want to reinstall windows 10.

(HardCoreGamer44) #87

I Have A Compaq Laptop 2.0 Ghz Amd A8-6410 APU With AMD Radeon R5 Graphics 64 Bit OS 64x Processor should i update to 10 or stay where i,m at for now

(HardCoreGamer44) #88

And I Play All My Games On Med Settings I Do Good For A 2 ghz processor

(Ghosthree3) #89

Supposedly 1ghz processor can run Windows 10.

(Witchy) #90

Your APU is more then enough to run gtav on mid/low setting if your ram MHz is above 2133. (standard ram speed for apu’s unless you’re on a laptop) Windows 10 will have no problem. However I would recommend uninstalling amd drivers, mouse drivers, and other things before the windows 10 install and reinstalling them after the update to make sure you have no issues with drivers. Also windows 10 needs to change the 1ghz processor can run it. I highly discourage it on lower end dual cores. Or low ram/low speed ram (ddr2 333 MHz) etc, it is seemless with most quadcores even below 1ghz. and even most dual cores (Pentium 4’s and above, AMD a4/a6) However since I use a SSD in almost all my computers I am unaware of any harddrive lag or extra usage by the system.

Have you tried to verify game cache through steam, eight click the game>properties>local files> verify game cache
or fully deleteing and reinstalling, also I would recommend reinstalling Visual C++ Redistributable
microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679
since it seems to me that it looks like a Microsoft error

(Ardez1) #92

This file comes with Visual C++ 2010 redistributable. Please download and install it from Microsoft.

Let us know if this works please.

Hey, quick update: i fixed the problem and it had nothing to do with windows visual c++. After further investigation i found the problem. If you start DB over Steam you will not get any error messages. It will simply not launch without a reason. If you try to start it via the .exe (steamapps/common/dirtybomb/binaris or something) it said that im missing some .dll’s. I reinstalled Windows 10 (clean installation?) and it worked for me. Can run DB smoother with more frames and no frame drops at all.

I guess that problem only occures if you updated your windows instead of installing it from zero.

I hope you are able to follow my bad english. Not sure if it is usefull, but it may help a few other people.

(Ardez1) #94

@fearlessMissile Possibly related to doing the upgrade rather than a clean install, but I did the upgrade and never saw any issues like this.

(limeDeposit) #95

I’ve ran into an issue where the game audio is really quite and moving the sliders change nothing. Anyone else encountered this?

(fantasticAsteroid) #96

I’ve been playing a few matches with Windows 10 and I haven’t had any issues that strike me as a Windows 10 issue. It appears to be running just as fine as It was on Windows 7, but I’ll post here again if I have any issues.

(AirborneAsian) #97

@limeDeposit Did you change the master sound? When i updated, the master sound was 1, so I couldn’t hear anything. Just change it to full and you’ll be alright

(titaniumCrouton) #98

Windows 10 user here, have had no noticeable problems with dirty bomb so far. Maybe a slight decrease in FPS but not enough to notice (Talking 110fps drop to 100.)

AMD card here as well.

(titaniumCrouton) #99

Also make sure your primary audio device is the one to set to default. That can be messed up too

(Gormonk) #100

I’ve been having a problem with dirty bomb since upgrading to windows 10. Randomly (about every 20 seconds) my audio and mouse lock up (keyboard still works). I have updated every available driver to no avail. I’ve tried playing other games and have only noticed this happening while playing SMITE and Dirty Bomb.
Anyone else having this issue or maybe have a fix?
