Not CoD at all. This setup could be perfect in 1v1 but imagine you vs multiple think you are going to kill a few good players very often solo before they kill you?

I love this game, it is just frustrating when you come up on multiple players barring some precise aiming and a little luck not much of a chance. There is another post with a vote, maybe we should move the convo over there
This is already the case, yesterday I killed 5 guys in a row with the soldier. I think the TTK is nice. If you wanna reduce it, don’t do it too much, maybe 10% faster death ?

(Strifee) #42

I don’t know what needs to be done, but all I know is this game is freaking awesome… think about it all day at work and can’t wait to get home to unfortunately get owned because I suck, but oh well… still fun
maybe 10% faster death ?
or maybe 10% slower? Yesterday I got ambushed by Kendle from the behind and I was dead before I had time to react. So TTK does not need to be any faster IMO. Slower, if anything.

(maxxxxlol) #44

Maybe we should just make it so bullets do no damage, everyone runs around with pillows and just pillow fights around the objectives.

(Kendle) #45

If the 1st bullet doesn’t kill you you’ve always got time to react, either that or don’t let yourself be snuck up on, tho to be fair I do like giving it to people from behind …

(Runeforce) #46

I’m looking forward to returning the favor

(ImageOmega) #47

But, isn’t that what ambushing someone should accomplish? Be able to kill them before they have time to react? I think, instead, we appreciate Ninja Kendle.

(Runeforce) #48

I’m not disagreeing. (And to be fair, it was from point blank range, backstab would have given the same outcome.) It helps in illustrating that TTK is not necessarily too long. (a.k.a IMO the “pea-shooter” should stay.)

(Strifee) #49

I feel like this post has been taken over and trolled :stuck_out_tongue:

(mortis) #50

This is more or less my feeling as well, I remember the “three ding kill” in etpro for W:ET, and it seemed like a really good balance at the time. No need to reinvent the wheel when it comes to killing speed. ETQW seemed fine to me as well, in general.

(Ashog) #51

I’d hate the damage go up. I’d rather it go more down, or at least the RoF go down, because the more aiming and longer shooting the more fun it is. There is no fun in playing “who sees first, kills first” kind of lottery game mess for me. That’s why games like modern CoD or similar “hits” never interested me. They require you to have basically only 1-2 skilled aimshots to kill, no enemy tracking + movement skill required. The fights just last too less to be fun. Respawning every 10 seconds isn’t much fun, unless it’s some crazy spammy explosive **** like team fortress. No no no no, please don;t up the damage stick.

(Violator) #52

What Ashog said. I hate the combat atm I’ll be honest. Unload a clip into someone, yet die in 1 or 2 shots. Tracking impossible due to fps lag. Stacked teams. It is an alpha so I hope it will improve but I’ve given it my best shot (which usually misses lol).

(Strifee) #53

Maybe blend the 2? The good tracer/tracker still has to put 4 headshots which if you think compared to the size of the clip is pretty amazing. I do agree the cod series got out of hand, but if you got back to basics with the original you would find it to take some skill to kill players. I think cod got too commercialized obviously, but keeping focus on this game, damage needs to be increased minimally. I think a small tweak would make everyone happy. If we could take it down an overall shot on average all ttk would be almost the same but in turn you could now effectively kill multiple bogeys with some finesse

I honestly just don’t like the feel of the game on a basic level. I don’t like the awkward sensitivity of the aiming mixed with the odd FoV of having the gun taking up a large portion of my view (this was a problem with brink to) the movement also feels off to me.

I love the fluid moving the rest of what you mentioned could get used to

Just curious what our programming bosses think

(Ruben0s) #57

Yea I got the same feeling. Some other things that I dislike about DB:

• Guns feel pretty much the same, it needs some guns that are completely different, like the rifle grenade in W:ET for example.
• No interaction with the environment at all.
• Player names above the enemy team, sometimes I see an enemy because I can see their name, not because I actually saw them.
• You can barely jump on things, if you jump on the EV you will get launced from it.
• It feels like the EV runs on batteries, it’s so damn slow that it gets boring to escort it.
• The EV has too much health or takes too less damage.
• Grenades/ Airstrikes damage is way too low.
• If you reload you’re pretty much dead.
• Health regen
• 8 vs 8 maximum

Things that I would love to see:

 • make the guns shoot slower and up the damage.
 • a remake of radar <3
 • Pistols that are more accurate than machine guns
 • prone

Maybe you should read the previous threads in this forum, about 80% of what you say has already been discussed …

(Ruben0s) #59

I’m sorry mister. I didn’t know that I was not allowed to share my dislikes about the game because they are already mentioned.

Oohhh and I did read the previous threads, and I knew it was already mentioned.

(rookie1) #60

Its impossible to read all the previous threads
And repeating its ok its confirm the person having the same criticims/like/dislike as other
