no strogg team player models, weapons, awards… etc.vehicles will be all gdf, while jetpack and walkers can be used by both teams. deployables will be all gdf
as is now > all player skins and models and weapons are gdf, you just have the enemy team cursor to identify them above the head

have a game on refinery, and it becomes CS but good, play volcano and its more like wolf ET
heres another, both teams have gdf vehicles, fixes strogg player models on limbo menu, no trail on sniper shots, works in pro compitition mod folder

I like you’re thinking outside the box here. When you said “replacing the models”, do you mean replacing it by brand new ones? Or just replacing them with the default gdf models by altering some scripts files? Just gave it a real quick try to see if it was working my Mac, when I have found some spear time I will check it out some more. First quick impression, Soldier saying ‘Greetings’ with a low alien voice instead if ‘Hiii’ was weird!

In that case you might want to make vehicles availeble for all, which will mean you can lift with the enemies and steal their tank when the engineer driver is fixing it :D.
But I am affraid using the same models will make it very confusing when you see a random empty vehicle on a random map and you have done a few rounds on both sides. It will be hard to see which player is on is which side because you need to wait for the red arrow to popup in-game when your crosshair is close enough. I think a very quick way to prevent this confusion is by using different colored outfits.
the pk4 needs to be put in the etqwpro folder with existing pk4 and not in the my documents/./etqwpro/ folder with only your config in

its no worse then BF games or real war.
But I want to play a game that is fun, not a real war. They’re not quite the same thing. substituting fun with realism has killed many games.
still, a random patch should be released for quakewars. you can make a BF type mod for quakewars with nothing much more then a mini mod, and if you build the driver “library” source, there is only a few things that need to be done, like change critical team class names in a few places
Mod MUST be named ‘Random GDF:Civil Wars’ Sounds interesting, not really my cup of tea (walk for 10 minutes, die, repeat) but agree with m0nsta, you will need to make the uniforms look significantly different between the two teams or it will get frustrating quick.
i will probaly never finish it, splash and id releasing a random patch allow alot bigger megatextures, has benefits, they do not have to release a future sdk or think about any of that for many more years
if you want to make a normal SP game, you can just change bot sight/think/tactical ranges, and you enemy will just disappear and look for ammo etc instead of waiting to die
QW is dead, splash have brink, id has rage, a QW patch 3 or 4 years after the last, would be a random 1 last patch
Nobody has figured that one out yet, for some reason it’s got to be random. Pretty random if you ask me.
