Rad world cup

(Armedmanus) #101

haha, i know, i know.

I was simply suggesting that it’s not as important in the group stage. I think if you are somewhat good, you should at least be able to make it into the brackets.
I totally agree that you should take every advantage possible in the bracket stages when it’s win or loose

But I don’t think Paul intended there to be a home / away player in the group stages. Especially since some people are almost all home and some are all away…

(Ciakgb) #102

I’m with Jerry still:) Might as well follow home/away as in rules, right? Gives an order to things. Maybe you want to start the match when you want to start it, you know?

Shouldn’t be an issue if the non responders (the call ambulance and fire first responders here:)) are dealt with.

(Ciakgb) #103

Although as the days wind on without a challenge, I’m starting to waver. Waiting on YogiBerra, DTrain who friended but never challenged. Don’t think I got anything friendwise from KSOS99

(Jerry-Rigs) #104

Could be. Don’t know.
Anyway, just a game. Don’t mean my witty repartee to get in the way.

(Mitsid) #105

Come on guys! There is no home/away issue at the group stage. It is very clear that we should send challenges to all the players in our groups and wait for their challenges. We are all veterans, we are all good enough to make it to the brackets using our skill and not some strange rule interpretation.
Jerry you are good too and I have no doubt you will be in the next round.

(Ciakgb) #106

Oh god, not with this stuff already…we are simply trying to figure out if we should challenge or not, so far we have not heard from Paul or Johhy whathisname. I could care less which, lets have some direction.

(Sandman77) #107

Paul said to challenge any you are friended with… So I did, just no KSOS99 on friendlist yet…

(Ciakgb) #108

Ok, I did it…Dtrain was there a number after that? I hope its the right guy:) No friend KSOS either:( YogiBerra challenged.

(Ciakgb) #109

Oh, and just so you all know, the problem with using challenges to weed out these non responders is its almost impossible to get a screen shot of their forfeit (which is after 3 days btw) and you can’t see unaccepted challenges in your games list.

If it were me I would have people submit the offenders, if two or more people say you are non responsive, you write them an email. If they don’t respond in 24 hours, they are out.

In the future, make a consequence, like you can’t play in the next tourney.

Shhh! (but thank you)

I am chastised, but I reserve the right to loudly complain and argue about anything and everything in the future. So there, phht.

I sent challenges to remaining opponents but manteen12 has not responded to FR.

(Ciakgb) #111

Yeah I was a little hurt by that too, Mitsid, you can’t honestly think either Jerry or I or Sandman are having trouble at this point enough that we would try to bend the rules in our favor, well that’s downright insulting. “Some strange rule interpretation?” I would say basic rule clarification is more accurate.

I do feel a little vindicated from our last tiff though, you are proving volitile!!!

(Jerry-Rigs) #112

I’m not insulted.
If you ain’t cheat’n, you ain’t try’n. If you get caught, you ain’t doing it right.

Writing rules, laws, contracts, or software requirements so that they are complete, unambiguous, and understood the same way by all parties involved is very difficult. It is often a surprise just how difficult it is to do to anybody that not had to be subjected to public review. I would like clarification of some details but I would rather play the game. All thanks to Paul!

Peace all.

(Sandman77) #113

Lost 2 won 2 games so far, 1 return match going on, one wrong map, 2 first rounds going on and one guy never befriended…

(tinker) #114

it seems like it’s the STANDARD now

each group 1-2 not showing up in any form
1-2 not answering friend request and/or game invite
1-2 answered your invite, but didnt send another game
1-2 answered your invite but send wrong game format
1-2 true matches

(Ciakgb) #115

You had to figure, public blast and then no forums, how many of them don’t even know we are over here discussing them?

(Jerry-Rigs) #116

OK, how do I report results in track base? Do I report game by game or wait for the entire match. Does the opponent have to verify? Do I upload the winners screen?

What do the columns in the table mean:
M(atches played?)
P(oints?)
W(ins?)
D(raws?)
L(osses?)
you might do that. usually it’s the best if you report it at the end of your match (both games) and write 2 0 // 1 1 // 0 2 depending on the result
your opponent should verify this. most do without problem
if someone does not , you simply upload the screen of the result and trackbase will verify it manually

yes

(Paul) #118
Thank you, Paul.
Now, in my group we still wail for 2 player (invalid name):

  1. Russel16
  2. Inteligencia TOROS.
    Every match is running now.
We tried looking those up, but no result, sorry :frowning:
I’m with Jerry still:) Might as well follow home/away as in rules, right? Gives an order to things. Maybe you want to start the match when you want to start it, you know?

There are no home/away rules in the group stage, just challenge anyone in your group, and they should do the same.

Exactly like that.

Can’t really help that but to try to get most of the matches done :frowning:

For most players it’s just handy to use the build in page then something separated from the results, people easily get confused.

You can post after an entire match against an opponent. The M/P etc as you listed are indeed correct.

(Jerry-Rigs) #119

Thank you for the clarification. I respectfully suggest that statement be added to the rules. As currently written, there is wiggle room.

(Mitsid) #120

We finished game1(my challenge) with Art58. I won. But he did not send his challenge to me. Will the result of just 1 game count as a win of a match?
