Think at Friday/saturday, everyone who did not do ANYTHING, including friend request and/or game invite and this confirmed by at least 2 players. autoforfeit matches. that are not running. if you challenged him/her but he not you, it’s 1 lose for him/her and 1 win for you… the other game is played to the end.
Can’t take the 48hours too serious at the moment. if you do, >60% disqualified or… well… losing 100% matches… -.-"

we’d need an ingame announcement to <spread the word>

I still hate trackbase and it still doesn’t seem to record the match in progress results. I posted a win against Sandman (negative competitive attitude, bro:)) but it doesn’t show in the standings.

you just send friend request to everyone in your group. and 1 game invite to everyone of your group in your friend list. write them “waiting for your game invite”
you play 2 games, 1 started by you 1 by him/her
why should YOU wait till he starts his first … ?! logic?

Good suggestion, for the next cup it might be usefull to have lower point matches in the bracket stage and also a visual walk through.

Because it’s made that if you post a score, the other team has to accept the score and then it will be processed :slight_smile:

You need to challenge your opponent one time and the opponent you one time, the order doesn’t matter.

Other things

  • I’ve fixed the my matches display, it should now be correct
  • I have updated the names of some players which couldn’t be found thanks to badman’s help. If you find other people that are non-existing please let me know so I can try to look 'ehm up.

I was under the impression that the “home” player challenged first and the “away” player challenged 2nd.

My logic for delaying the away player’s challenge:
Against an unknown opponent, I want as much intel as I can get before I put a squad in. Being the “away” player means I can get get a sense of their play from their squad and first move before I have to commit to a map and squad on my challenge.

In my group, I am the “away” player for all but one match against all but one unknown (to me) player. I think it makes a difference.

I’m with jerry and not tinker, we were supposed to go in order, I suppose it doesn’t matter too much as long as the possible third game is started by the correct player, but that was how it was laid out at the start.

Now, what do we do about the non responders…

The home / away is for brackets only. Not group stage.
And if you are good, you should be able to be in the top 2 no matter what squad the other person puts out / no matter what squad you pick. :slight_smile:

Thanks for the less than official clarification. Although the rules only mention “home” and “out” players when talking about brackets, they go on to say in the storyline section:

In the group stage you will play two maps against each opponent. Player 1 can once select a map and start on it, and then player 2 can do the same.

Now, ignoring the assumed typo of “once”, the statement implies to me that the start order is mandated.

I’m not good. You know that.

Are you good? If you are, I can suggest some opponents you can run a squad of my choosing against to test your ah … theorem.

Removing the sarcasm, hyperbole, and venom, I take your meaning and mostly agree but not completely. I think a good player will make use of whatever advantage they can when they need to but what is an advantage to one player is not to another.
