It clearly states that Splash Damage has asked Activision to push ET: Quake Wars into “Summer 07”. So much for a good QuakeCon compo and lots of fun this spring 
i don’t care as long as the beta will be out soon. i played 6 maps for 3 and a half years, so 1 map for 6 months will do.

That’s the only positive thing about the news, it looks like there will be a beta. In the end of the article he writes “… before the game has gone Beta”, something that would be odd to write if there wouldn’t be any Beta.

A lot of people expected it in Q1, cause at E3 and QCon it looked like it was almost done.
Somehow I always had a feeling that it will come later than we hoped

That article really sucks big time. It has to much Battlefield Fan feeling.

About the summer release… i only trust dates from ATVI, id or SplashDamage. The rest is just rumours.
The last paragraphs seems indeed to be referring to something along the lines of BF, as he says “air power isn’t powerful”. Well, be it that there’ no skill in taking down a bird, it’s still better than getting obliterated by yet another chopper camping your spawn. I guess he also forgot about evasive moves, AFAIK there where “heat flares” to be dropped from an airborne vehicle to counter incoming rockets.
hmm… hmm… hmm… maybe an official statement wouldnt be bad.

Also IGN says the release date in europe would be 27 februari, and USA’s would be somewhere round march, I hope that’s true!! :shock:

I remember when I always went to battle.net forums to wait for Blizzard’s console game Starcraft Ghost. Waited for half a year. I even bought an xbox since it said that it would be for xbox and PS2. In march 2006, BAM. Game is indefinitely canceled to look at possible xbox 360 and PS3 features for the game. I was like NOOOOOOOOOOO
Don’t make me say that for this game. Also I will say NOOOOOO if it does not run or runs like a slideshow on a crap videocard like Nvidia geforce 7300LE.
I always complained that blizzard never sets development windows to be released since consoles only last a few years until next gens come out. In the case of SC ghost. They announced it when ps2 and xbox were fresh. Now the 360 is out and they still can’t get the game done.
Since ETQW is a PC game, I hope it does not get released in 2008 because I hate those things called delays and also I would like the release to be Q1 or Q2 2007. Q2 is good because you know what i mean right? Delaying once or twice is good but delaying numerous times just does not cut it. Cough. DNF SCG cough.
