will there be a quake wars on the xbox 360???
quake wars on Xbox 360
nobody knows yet, besides: who cares about 360. quake wars on ze Wii would pwn the 360 any time gameplay-wise!
Altho nothings confirmed (still working to finish the pc version) i would imagine at some stage it would be very likely and with the advert on vista it probably mean a 360 version would be the mostly likely console to aim for.
did you forget about quake 4 on 360?[/quote]
I’ve got to agree here… the question is wether Q4 on the 360’s poor performance was due to bad devmanship (yes i made that up) or hardware limitations. If it was down to the hardware, then I don’t see ET:QW on the 360 being possible. if it was down to the devs though, then I’m sure SD can do us proud!

Quake 4 was a poorly ported game that would play even worse on a wii. Wolfy is being developed for the 360 then ported to PC. There’s a slight difference here.
There is no reason in hell that Q4 performed badly due to hardware limitations. My PC runs it fine and it is WAY lower spec than a 360. Poor devmanship, good word DarkAngel, imo.
As for Wolfy…I think id have forgot about that!
There is a third alternative: The basic game design just isn’t suited to the console.
Without having actually played Q4 on 360, I’d suggest it is a mix of all three.
Concerning “RTCW2”, AFAIK it is being simultaneously developed on both platforms, not developed on 360 and then ported.
ET:QW strikes me as an even worse fit for consoles than a game like Q4. Shooters don’t usually translate that well to consoles, and a complex shooter with lots players seems even less likely to do so.
I almost had a heart attack when I read

.
You can add Lego Star Wars 2 to the crappy port list… not even any mouse support for the menus. If you are thinking of buying this, go read the lucasarts technical support forums for it… you have been warned. I’m starting to think dev’s purposefully make ports a pos so that people will want to buy consoles.
ETQW simply wouldn’t work on the 360 without being totally dumbed down.
It’s just the completely wrong audience for a game like that. Look at Battlefield modern combat. It’s like BF2 in teletubby land.
the only clue you can find on zie interweb about rtcw2 (some lame presentantion video @ some xbox show) states that rtcw2 is beeing developed as a xbox game, developed with xbox tools, to be played in xbox and then it will be ported to the PC. not the other way around (they enphasize on that: xbox > pc).

According to someone from id at the latest Quakecon, RTCW2 is being developed in tandem on 360 and PC
Hardly. Raven Software have a pretty good track record on PC & consoles.
either way, they still don’t have a game, there is no rtcw2 at the moment and no info on even if it’s being worked on for any platform that I can find, other than vague things about Raven doing the work
