I’m not sure if you guys read the entire thread, but after you accept my friend request, I will be sending you invites to 5 chat rooms organized by characters ranks. These are to act as our game lobbies. If you don’t join at least one of them or keep opening them untill you find someone then its a waste of time. If you cant join my match because of rank to high or your rank is to high, then make a new character and join. We have 10 slots and I’m sure you don’t have all 10 at rank 5. I am currently working on ranking up a few characters so thats why you cant always join my matches. I play a lot of rank 3 right now. I do enjoy playing with everybody I’ve met and want to find a way one of these nights to get a big party going. Using the chat rooms lets you QUICKLY message and see if you can join a game or start up a new one, etc… I like playing co-op against bots but some VS would be really nice among the 30 gamers that have posted here and that our on my friends list. I get about 5 different game invites/ messages from you guys which is great but not helping us come together. We need to organize ourselfs to get some matches going and messages an invites back and fourth takes to much time rather than a chat room that is instant and can be seen by all who are in the chat room. This works and I wish more would try using it. Chat rooms do have a limit of 16 (I think) so thats why there are 5 rooms rather that 1. I was trying to think ahead instead of making it easyer in the begining.

I do hate long post but I had to get this out there. Thanks to chambers, darthman and Savage. Last night was really fun, even better when we start talking about star wars. You guys are kick as_ to play with. See ya on tonight. Maybe I’ll run my rank 5 all night tonight.

Great time last night. The chat rooms worked great. The VS matches were a lot of fun and very close games every time. Thanks to all. I do have some comments to SD as to some things I would like to see. I’ll post latter when I have more time. Gotta work now.

Agreed, last night was really fun. One of the guys on my friend’s list joined up, Digitalzero. He PM’d me on another forum asking about the chat rooms because he heard us talking about them and I told him that next time I hopped on I would invite him.

Heres a link to the other forum’s thread about the same thing. They have quite a big group also so I’m going to put this thread’s link in that forum’s thread too. Hopefully we can get bigger VS matches going on.

Use the “Unofficial Brink Chat”… The ranked chats aren’t really in use.

If the “Unofficial Brink Chat” gets maxed out (it was at one time), we will make a second one. :slight_smile:

So why are the Rank Chat rooms not in use??? Is it because someone else made a different chat instead??? I really don’t care which chat we use, lets just decide on which and use it. It would have been nice to have some feed back on this 2 weeks ago when I had posted this thread rather than me spending my time on sending out the 5 chats. Nobody really gave any opinion except for me and your post. I know you can’t hear my tone through text so please don’t read this in a negative way. Again, I’m all for whatever seems to be working the best. No feelings hurt here. So will the other 30 gamers that posted here in this thread please help us in organizing the masses and lets get back to full rooms, vs matches and shootin the hell out of one another. Again no matter which chat, lets just agree on which and move on from there. Thanks VOODOO for even taking the time to try and bring our Brink community together.

Tried the other chat I saw on here, ended up being Clan players (who arent that fun most the time as some tend to act like dicks and almsot only play 5v5 often without even 5 per side) or trophy hunters sending out invite after invite after invite to the whole chat to join a room with like 3 people just to do trophies. Meanwhile NO ONE, and i mean NO ONE other then those already on my friends list joined any of my invites from the chat to the Big Teams games i was in (half full to full matches) Chat rooms are nice but can be equally annoying when not used by people trying to play a common game.

Lol also I hear all this talk about just being able to join and play with randoms and well honestly, after having it happen a few times yesterday (finding full or almost full matches of randoms) I can say for sure its about the most unfun thing ever and I dont see how anyone truely wanting to enjoy this game would want to play with a bunch on randoms and not organized people with mics and brains. It was sad, literaly no mics on either side (switched teams at one point), was like breaking legs tryin to get people to join fireteams, barely anyone buffing anyone and even then always well after the fact like when you need to be revived but not to buff health or no ammo upgrade but give you ammo when you literally ran out, not a single weapon buff all match (despite multiple engies), just spawning and sprinting back into the grind match after match not even allowing you to buff them without a challenge and zero buffs in return.

It basically turned into a TDM style of “Demolition” from COD with everyone for the most part lone wolfing and Ramboing life after life and barely any progress made each match. these are exactly the kind of people i dont want to play with and who many many times made games like BFBC2 unplayable in any Objective game or Hardcore mode. Why in the hell do people even want to play (or even drawn to) games that require teamwork and doing objectives when they rarely do either or just totally throw out the “team” and “communication” parts and want to lone wolf rambo ****. Lol if the randoms for this game are like any other then plan on a majority of the randoms to be useless, lone wolfing, non teamplaying, no mic wearing wanna be rambos that just play the way they want and make no effort to help or back up those actually trying to get objectives done.

Pretty much just dont see how this game could be playable without groups of us going out of our way to connect and play with each other seeing as we all have a common goal of Wanting to Win and using Teamwork to get us there.
We need to get chats together for each game type first off, no more joiing a chat and sending invites for trophy hunting to everyone in the chat all day or trying to set up 5v5 after 5v5 for “serious” players when most end up joining without mics or friends they can rely on against members of a clan who been playing together for a long time. Many just want to play a full 8v8 with humans in the public rooms, BIG TEAMS!!! NOT STANDARD, tired of joining only to find out only 8humans are aloud and no one wants to switch teams, atleast when you play botwith with a full team in Big Teams the other side can fill with humans or you can split up and have others join in.

IF WE ARE GOING TO DO THIS WE HAVE TO DO IT RIGHT!!! I will take charge today of starting a BIG TEAMS ONLY lobby/chat and anyone wanting an invite hit me up and invite your friends, it will be BIG TEAMS ONLY and ranks can be worked out in the chat (will have level 20s or highest start the rooms). Anyone one can join even without mics, just be a team player and make an effort to win, thats all that asked and expected. Keep the room open 24/7 or ask for an invite if not on friends list and want access.

Please anyone else wanting other game modes set up chats for that mode and inform others how to get in, lets get this done right and together on PS3!

I think the reason few people used the Ranked chats because they were too spread out. I think people would rather be in one chatroom, regardless of rank. Nobody cares which chat we use…but everyone sort of gravitated to the "Unofficial Brink chat room’ for some reason. I think that is probably a good thing, as it would be better to have 20 people in one chat than to have two different chats with 10 people each.

I’m sorry, I wasn’t here two weeks ago and didn’t see your posts. I just want to make sure people get directed to the most active chatrooms…and I only know of one that is active currently.

Anyway, the chat room works, and its a great community. There is no trash talk…most everyone is friendly and communicates well. We mostly play 5v5 competitive mode…(but you can always setup your own rules if you want.) The games are almost always balanced. But I’ve noticed the numbers have dropped in the past couple of days… and it seems that most of the people that were playing before are now playing other games. So it will need a constant infusion of new players to stay active.

Anyway, in certain active times, there can be 20 people are so in chat, and a 5v5 will fill up very fast.
