Yesterday i bought the game and installed it. When i start it everything was OK but is show me that the game must be patched and i click Download Now. I wait to download then isntall the patch and again everything was OK. I start the game and it gives me ETQW.exe error.

I’am with Windows XP SP3.

Don’t use the ingame autopatching service, it causes problems for more people. You may need to reinstall your game now if the patcher screwed up. You’ll want to manually download the full 1.5 patch from somewhere and use that.

Try to update all your drivers.

As far as I know:

You installed the full game via your cd-copy.
Then you downloaded the 1.5 full client patch and installed this one asswell.

Then when you want to load up the game you get an error?

Could you be more specific to what the exact error message is?

Hardware is fine, that shouldn’t be the problem.
I suggest you go to www.nvidia.com and get the latest video drivers.

And dont forget when updating your graphic drivers you should use DriverSweeper first to remove the old ones then install the latest versions.

Try this (with 1.5 installed)

[li]Create a shortcut to the game (copy and paste the one on your desktop if you have one already)
[/li][li]Open Properties for the shortcut and add this to the end of the Target value: “+set logFile 2 +set developer 1” (without quotes) then click OK
[/li][li]Start the game using that shortcut
[/li][li]After its crashed or whatever, open up My Documents/id Software/Enemy Territory - QUAKE Wars/base and open console.log in here
[/li][li]Copy and paste the contents of that file onto pastebin.com and link to it here.
