@uWotm8-AU if a team is being spawn camped because they are outnumbered or completely out skilled, changing mercs isn’t going to do anything. And garunteed the campers would enjoy a more matched game, which they would get with a shuffle.
Yes some people are idiots and sore losers, but it’s still a useful feature that is not used as much as it should be.

Unfair match-up is a thing. You can’t improve on the course of a single game up to the level of whoever is spawn camping you and your team. This is why team shuffling isn’t a beta feature only, it’s something needed. Especially when the game is player number imbalanced, like 3vs6.
There is losing because the other team is performing better than you and then there is being crushed because every single player on one team has over 100h of play time at least versus people with less than 10h. [/quote]

Well maybe they want to compete but on an even playfield and not getting spawn killed. If relatively new players face only lvl 15+ people then I can definitely understand why they want to vote for a shuffle.
Getting spawn killed is not fun for anybody. You’re saying they are not even trying but I feel that’s not true at all. Not everybody is on the same skill level and that’s perfectly normal. Those new people are maybe not that good (yet) in the game but they shouldn’t be punished because they are playing against people with 75+ hours of experience.
A fair and even match is still more fun than just destroying the other team (through the means of spawn killing).
You yourself as a player will not become better by just doing that and the others who get spawn killed don’t learn anything from the game. It’s basically a loss for everybody.
I learn new tricks every day from other players and that keeps the game enjoyable for me and by spawn killing the other team, you simply learn nothing.

So on one hand it’s about balancing a team and on the other hand it’s about besting another human. Since when is that related? You can beat every single opponent in a one vs one repeatedly, but as a team you have no chance, because you’re playing with 5 other players who are just learning the game versus a crew of experienced players. As those new players keep dying due to lack of knowledge, you end up being matched up in uneven duels (3vs1, 4vs1 etc.) and how can you there show that you are better than another human? Are we all supposed to be better than 5 or 6 players at once? No and if you believe so then you have bigger problems than just hating vote shuffle.
Vote shuffle is needed. Player skill will never be balanced. There will be players that win duels over others and the point of shuffling is to have an even amount of duel winners on each side, so that the match balance over-all doesn’t make the game unplayable for one of the teams. Losing is not the reason to shuffle. Obvious dominance of a team is. The line separating both might seem faint, but you’d be surprised how newcomers aren’t even aware of the vote shuffle option and it’s usually me or my teammate who vote for it as the team crushing.

I agree non voters should not be counted, but there should be a minimum amount of votes to pass it. Otherwise 1 or a few persons could pass a vote.

I think the easiest fix that SD could make without changing anything is to just make the voting window larger and more obvious and make the timer longer. Also wouldn’t hurt to make the vote buttons something that isn’t F1-F3 (since this is the change mercs button).
After they do this we can see if the voting situation gets better. Maybe votes aren’t passing because people are oblivious.

make the vote to max of 5 instead of 10, or make it automatic once the total xp on the other team is more than 1.5 of the opposite team.
really easy fix.
tell me devs, who in the world would want to vote yes if that person is on the dominate team?
“oh hmm, I want to get on the losing team but I don’t want to use the change team function”
or
“oh hmm, I want to win so im gonna switch to the winning to to stack more”

I hate team shuffle because you do all the work some idiot team shuffle all that work down the drain. Then you have legit team shuffles but people won’t do it because finding a balanced game is hard and when they can finally win they aren’t going to shuffle.
Also when you team shuffle game doesn’t restart if I remember. So I and my team work hard push the EV shuffle now I’m defending GG. Already in last objective timer not enough. I just always vote no for shuffle. Even if I’m getting pub stomped I vote no. Just finish it and move on.

ok 1 team shuffle passed and I, and just me, moved to the opposite team, yo I’m not even good so you want to move someone who is bad into a bad team, wow, so much logic. I was like #3 in the game and I got moved? wtf happened to #1 and #2. this team shuffle not only doesn’t pass 9.9/10 of the times, and it sucks when it actually passed. wow, just wow. not spending anymore money on this game until matchmaking is fixed.
