Both Game and Play send them out by email.

On another note, if anybody has a spare code, I have a Clan member who would like one.

Just my luck when i decided to order from more expencive Game (shipping cost) Play woke up. Well it seems that Play still have some issues with emails though.

Ordered Friday got the email today, so it really seems that Game sends codes each Wednesday.
The code ends with CE (europe) so it seems that the reg codes have continent/country code in it for some reason.

Finland, shipping was only 2.95 GBP but still Play dont have shipping costs for rest of the EU and I am more familiar with Play as i have ordered dozens of DVDs there in past years.

I havent received any confirmation email from Activision yet, how long it took to you guys to receive it?

Ah. Well I reckon you stand more chance of getting the game near (or even on) the release date from Game than Play. A few of my mates have ordered games from Play lately, and got them about a week after release date. Game are definitely more on the ball.

Thanks for your replies, I got the confirmation email now about 1-2hours later.
It was 3 years ago since i last time used Play and then it was ok. It takes 5 business days to the packet to arrive here and quite often they sent movies ahead to me that they arrived here on release date :slight_smile:

Well if i cant wait ill go buy second normal copy here locally on release date and keep that limited edition as a thanks to SD for 3 years of ET.

hi.
order via play.com months ago. never received any code.
if i try the phone, it says “out of service @the moment”
so after reading that thread I cancelled my order @play, reordered it
(maybe they will NOW check that i should get the code)
and order @game.co.uk AS WELL.

the first to send the code gets my money, but i still hope its
play.com cause I’m a yearlong customer of theirs, never had problems
and their package is cheaper than game (no delivery costs to austria)

time will tell, but don’t bash play.com, they are a cheap reseller
and no money for customer relations, i never had problems with them
up till now.

I don’t think our bashing of Play.com is unwarrented. They failed to deliver a service/product which they sold us. I agree, Play.com were once good. I bought my copy of DDO from them, and I was very pleased with the early beta access and the delivery times… Seems they must have sacked all the staff that were working, and kept all the tourists (the people who show up to work, but aren’t really ‘there’.)

hi all.
update: today i received BOTH my play and my game registration code.
game did send it automatically after my order,
play only reacted because i sent them an email urging them to send it to me.
I know play.com did cause problems for many ppl but since i have to look
on my money I’m going with their copy, no shipping to austria.

ah, and btw, my name was still available (i hope)

Still not received my code…bloody joke.

Third time I’ve phoned and yet again “one will be through within 15 minutes.”

Splash damage really should look at ********** play for a shocking service.

Wow…my code came through after 5 minutes. Shock and joy.

Bloody great. Due to play making a huge blunder my nick has been taken.
