Judging from a previous message from someone who got their Game code, they were sent on Thursday the 12th. I can only assume I should expect mine this Thursday.

BTW. The ASA sent me a letter thanking me for the complaint, but as the false information on Play.com is in Play.com’s ‘Shop Space’ it’s outside their remit. So I now need to lodge a complaint with the DTI (Department of Trade and Industry)… Which I’m about to do :slight_smile:

but no-where on play did it state that the pre-order came with a registration key for username and such, only recently did they add this to the description. So if you ordered before they updated their page they are not really legally liable. (plus the issue seems to be with communication of this offer between the publisher and retailer, the ‘offer’ was originally only on the official ‘buyitnow’ webby but not listed on the UK links that are followed from that)

Last week the woman in referrals promised to take ownership of the issue and ensured me that she would email me with an update, I’ve still had no contact so I’ve cancelled from Play

Ordered mine from Play.com today (never had cause for complaint with them before on preorder matters). As they now have the bit saying you’ll get to reserve username etc, I’d have a valid cause for complaint :slight_smile:

Thanks for all the guys who took the effort of pushing retailers. On the back of this thread I have cancelled my order with play.com and ordered my copy from Game.co.uk - As someone has stated above if Game sent some keys out last Thursday (12/04/2007) then we should expect to see another batch go out this Thursday (19/04/2007) give or take a day.

Will let you know what transpires …

Like I said earlier, I preordered with play and game, and then waited to see who sent me a code first - I’m glad Game did TBH, because after speaking to play.com a few times, I don’t think they got a feckin clue!!

I canceled my order with play.com about 5 days ago and ordered with GAME today I got the codes, sadly someone already took Chris and had to make do with Chr1s :smiley:

So it does tell you if the name is already reserved then? That’s good to know, because I registered Gunslinger, thinking somebody was bound to have taken that, but it let me and I got a confirmation email :smiley:
